[ACTIVE] Headset not working?

Iím on Xbox one, firmware and everything is updated and Iím using an Onikuma K1-B headset and I cannot talk through the microphone or hear audio from the game, any solutions?

Welcome to the community. Is the headset working without XIM?

Try starting XIM without the headset attached then after startup connect it to the controller.

Yep, tried both of those, headset in complete working order and everything and tried many combinations of disconnecting and reconnecting to no avail, may be a headset to add to the list of not compatible?

Yes that may be the case but it's odd because it's just a stereo headset and is confirmed to work with the controller while XIM is disconnected. One other thing to try is if you have expert mode enabled in menu-global settings is to open your config, go to the identity section and enable 'audio compatibility mode'. After saving this change try starting XIM without the headset attached once more. After startup attach the headset and check to see if it works. Another feature to check is push to talk (ptt), also in the identity section of your config. If this is assigned to a key you will not be able to use the mic unless ptt is active. Holding the assigned key or clearing the assignment would help if this is the case.

I'm sorry I don't have other ideas. I can mark this headset as not compatible for now. If you're able to test another headset please let us know if you have the same issues connecting the headset after XIM has finished starting.
