PS4 donít registering when dragging mouse fast.
« on: 04:04 AM - 07/30/18 »
When Iím dragging my mouse fast with my XIM Apex on PS4, the PS4 donít register my strokes.

I think itís a software issue with the PS4, because when I have my mouse and keyboard directly plugged in to my PS4, the same thing happened.

When I have my mouse plugged in to my PC, I can drag how fast I want.

XIM Apex can fix this thing by doing this:

mouse_drag_speed = ďsomething that changesĒ

drag_limit = 500

If (mouse_drag_speed > drag_limit) {

    mouse_drag_speed = drag_limit;
}

Welcome to the community. All games have a maximum turn speed limit. When you exceed this (especially if you flick quickly), it'll feel like the reticle is stalling. Here is more information here in this older XIM3 video: https://youtu.be/3fCx9OLGF2Q

Are you thinking about fixing it?

Itís so irritating when you go over the mouse speed limit and your turning just stop.

This isn't a bug and your turning actually doesn't stop. This is just how consoles are. Try flicking the stick quickly on the controller. You get the same result. It may feel like things get slower even though they don't. The issue is that when you flick very fast, the amount of time in the flick is very short and since games have a maximum turn speed limit the amount the reticle moves is small. This is different than on PC where the reticle supports unlimited speed. You will need to move your mouse slower to better match the game's limit.
