« on: 07:39 AM - 06/14/18 »
Hello, thank you for letting me join this forum. I got a Xim4 from my wife, and as and old gamer, do i having some issues how to get this device work :)

I have a PS4, XiM4, and a Rival 500 Steelseries gaming mouse.

What have i done so far: I have Battlefield 1 installed on my PS4, i have got the XiM4 manager App, and downloaded Battlefield 1.

My issues:
a) I do not understand how i set DPI on this mouse, and how do i set the DPI when i connect the mouse to the Xim4 device?
b( What DPI should i use on BF1?
c) Should i Buy a other mouse or would this work fine?
d:)What firmware do i need to install? I have the "regular version of ps4" not pro or slim (And regular Xim4, not apex).
e) Any guide or step guide to let me know everything i need to do would be very helpful

Thank you, looking forward to join this community!

Welcome to the community.

A) I'm not familiar with your mouse but most mice have DPI adjustment buttons. Some mice allow you to adjust the levels of DPI on a PC and these settings stay with the mouse. Refer to your mouse manual and software for this.
B) I recommend using max or at least a DPI over 6,000 if your mouse supports it. The higher the DPI the smoother small movement can become.
C) I'm not familiar with it, hopefully other rival 500 users can comment.
D) We always recommend using the latest firmware, it supports all variants of the consoles we support. You can find the latest XIM4 firmware below. Please read the instructions on the download page.

E) I recommend watching the instructional videos and going through the quick start guide. These go over setup and use and can be a big help for first time users: http://xim.tech/instructional

I also recommend checking the game settings page each time you add a new game config. Some games require additional game settings, these can be found on the game settings page in game support: http://xim.tech/settings
