Hunting for new mouse for xim apex
« on: 07:44 PM - 06/09/18 »
I'm looking for at least 3 thumb buttons on side, and not a logitech or razor . My g502 is on its last legs and due to their bad support the last two i bought now just sit in a closet collecting dust

My thoughts have been corsair dark void but not sure if corsair side buttons will work properly or not, and maybe a steelseries mouse but no idea what to get on that front.

Or if anyone has any suggestions let me know so I can look them up.

So far I have tried:

Sound blasterx Siege mo4
https://www.amazon.com/Sound-BlasterX-Optical-Professional-Gaming/dp/B01MSLW6G3

Steelseries Rival 700
https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Rival-700-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B01AZC3I6U/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1528652047&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=rival+700&dpPl=1&dpID=41DcBLrX0XL&ref=plSrch

Razer Basilisk
https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Basilisk-Comfortable-Multi-functional-Customizable/dp/B0752VK4XV/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1528652576&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=razer+basilisk&dpPl=1&dpID=31eaC-JrdRL&ref=plSrch

Asus Rog II
https://www.amazon.com/ROG-Gladius-II-Optical-Ergonomic/dp/B06XT4B2B9/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1528652495&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=gladius+rog+ii&dpPl=1&dpID=413zSpJ8oGL&ref=plSrch

Logitech G502

All of these have three side bottons, I have large hands 20.5cm x 11.5cm. The least comfortable was the steelseries 700 the sniper/dpi shift button wasnít very comfortable to reach and itís a little heavy. The Basilisk felt good in my palm but is a little small length wise. Also I would sometimes accidentally hit the forward button when pressing the sniper button. The best fit were the Siege Mo4 and the Asus. I like the Asus sniper button placement the most. At first I thought if might be in the way but it works out just fine. One major drawback about the Asus is that the sniper button canít be remapped to a button that will require a hold down function like aiming down sight and shooting. A workaround for tha s is to remap the button to a mouse function but then you lose one of three mouse  buttons. The Siege mo4 is a great mouse but one drawback is you only have one profile.
