thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos, they have helped out ALOT! QUESTION.... so with the resources you have provided about mouse polling rate I ran some tests and would like your opinion.
Mouse: Logitech G903 (Capable of 12k DPI, running: 4,000 DPI)
Test: Direct Input Mouse rate
500hz test: averaged 509 / Peak: 515
1000hz test: averaged 1019 / peak: 1039Hz
so should i go with 500hz since the average and peak are closer to the polling rate where as 1000 is farther away where it should be?
Thanks in advance!
I was wondering this as well. On the mouserate program my 1k hz polls at 999 constant pretty much... the Hz goes over 1,000 often, sometimes up to 50 or past, but so does 500...... On the direct input test it reads like yours says, my peak is higher on 1000hz then it is on 500hz, it stays at about 511-515 compared to 1021-1027... does that mean 500hz is more stable?
I remember always overclocking my old school mice to 500hz and not bothering with 1k, but i know with todays mice it's kind of obvious these can poll 1k. Or marketing? lol. That's why i've considered the finalmouse, I have the old one from 2015.. bit outdated though. Its locked at 500 lol.
But why does my 500hz tests show the same kind of as 1k? The Hz goes over the average but the results on the direct input test "claim" its more stable on 500hz i guess since the peak is lower??? Am I understanding this correctly?
