That's right.

So DS4-1 is wired and used for authentication.

DS4-2 is wireless and allows separate mappings.

The beauty of this is that you are now free to use the XB1 controller if you wish, even if you are on the PS4. This is preferable in my opinion because the XB1 has the analogue stick in the primary position.
Setup: XIM Apex, Titan Two, Switch Joy-Con, Logitech G502, Razer mouse bungee, SteelSeries 4HD mousepad, DXRacer armrest, LucidSound LS30 headphones, Netduma router, Ubiquiti UniFi AP LR wireless access point

My setup (incl. Joy-Con mount): https://bit.ly/2jic7bG

Good stuff, and you get to save some money:)

You should get yourself some of these aftermarket trigger stops: https://www.gamestop.com/xbox-one/accessories/xb-one-quickshot-controller-kit/152292

I got some while I was in the US, they are a really nice way to upgrade your pads on the cheap (I only bothered installing the left side):

Setup: XIM Apex, Titan Two, Switch Joy-Con, Logitech G502, Razer mouse bungee, SteelSeries 4HD mousepad, DXRacer armrest, LucidSound LS30 headphones, Netduma router, Ubiquiti UniFi AP LR wireless access point

antithesis,

There are drivers for PC to connect DS3 (DS4) wirelessly. I guess BT pairing is not an issue. And if Titan Two doesn't need a wired gamepad for the authentication, they must have found a way to fake. Isn't it?
A wired controller is still required for authentication on a T2. There are ways to fake it, but it messes with Xim, which also requires an authentication controller, and spoofing a controller can send the T2 into an infinite reboot cycle.

T2 recognises the auth controller attached to Xim, so there's no double-up there. A second controller connected wirelessly direct to the T2 will work. But as piiwii pointed out, ADS needs to be mapped to the mouse to use the Xim's ADS look mechanics.

In my use-case, I have ADS mapped to l-click (I'm left-handed so use r-click for shoot) on the mouse. DS4 plugged into Xim Apex for auth, which passes through the T2 to the console via INPUT-A. An XB1 Elite is wirelessly connected to INPUT-B of the T2 via the XB1 wireless adapter. T2 installs drivers for the adapter onto an SD card.

All inputs work concurrently on a T2, so you can have any combination of controller, mouse, keyboard, joystick and foot pedals all playing friendly at the same time. My latest setup is combining Apex with mouse & DS4 on INPUT-A, Ergodox EZ Shine kb on INPUT-B and Fragpedal Quad on the PROG port. If I had a Bluetooth adapter for the T2, I could add a second wireless controller into that mix.

Also, J2K is going to look at adding USB hub support for the T2, so I can also have the PROG port connecting to Mac and PC. Currently, I'm having to sacrifice that in favour of the Fragpedal on the PROG port. Fragpedal doesn't work via Xim Apex due to a bug that I'm overriding with a T2 script, but that would be another solution via the Apex's USB hub.

Anyway, as you can see there are lots of input options by combining a Xim with a T2 and you should be able to achieve what you want. Just be mindful of ADS and mapping that to the mouse if you want to use the Apex's ADS look mechanics.

Thanks. It seems I keep spending more money since the  purchase of XIM Apex.  ;D

I can see T2 is very powerful, just a little pricey.  :( Anyway, it might be the only option if I want inverted axis. Thank you for replying.

Can I know how did you do the configuration setup for this?  I tried the PS4, DS4 and Nav wireless approach and it work.  I, however, couldn't get PS4, DS4 and DS4 wireless to work.  Thanks.

I replied to your PM.

I've actually never tried 2x DS4's before. I've only tried 1x DS4 for authentication, and an XB1 controller as my Nav replacement. In theory 2x DS4's should work but I'm sorry I don't have any real world testing to back that up, I'm just talking hypothetically.

That being said, the XB1 controller is a better Nav replacement anyway due to the awkward position of DS4's left stick.
