1000 Hz on G502, 500 hz in Apex manager
« on: 05:07 AM - 03/24/18 »
Is this a good idea?

I had some very annoying jitter effects at 1000 hz in apex manager, so I set it to 500 hz but kept the 1k output of my mouse.

The jitter is gone, but I'd still like to hear how to further optimize my settings. I fear I'd be unable to notice the difference myself, so I'd like to hear your thoughts. In theory, which should work better?

500 hz in both, as the manager recommends, or can 1000 hz from g502 be beneficial (or at least not harmful) if the xim is set to 500?

Make sure both are matching. Being jittery is normal, you can turn up “smoothening” to correct the jittery movements.

Both settings do not need to match, it states in the response rate video you should make sure the polling rate of the mouse is equal to or higher than the polling rate off the apex.
