Current Update:

I just got the CRP DISABLD drive to show up.  I restarted my pc (not sure if that helped), then had my keyboard off, helf in the pin then plugged in to my pc via USB cable and it popped up.  Ill keep you posted how it goes.

Another Update:

I can get the keyboard to show up and delete the firmware file then copy paste the old 1.02 version.  Then I open Cue 2.24 as administrator.  I then plug my keyboard back in with a usb cable and it shows up in CUE and says there is a firmware update, I simply cancel and DO NOT update it.  Then the Keyboard in CUE sort of greys out and you cant not click on it.  I then turn the keyboard off, then plus the dongle into my PC and turn the keyboard on.  I can now select the K63 in CUE and change the lighting effects and so on.  In the directions it says "Flash 1.02 firmware using CUE software", I don't see that option but I'm assuming its running that firmware because I deleted the new firmware and put the old firmware onto the keyboard.
Anyways, once I do this I try with the XIM Apex and its still dead unless I use a USB cable.  I did this twice, the second time I deleted the dongle from my device manager (that took me awhile because it doesn't show up as "corsair dongle" just a standard name that was the same as 10 other devices so I had to unplug and plug a few times to locate what one it was) it still did not work with my XIM.  Is there anywhere in CUE that shows me the firmware on the keyboard currently?  Ive been at this all day and so far I'm considering finding a new keyboard and mouse, or re ordering the same keyboard in hopes that it has the old firmware on it.  I have to be close.

I can't express how much I appreciate everyone's help.  Thanks to all the knowledgeable users on here, my K63 keyboard is once again working flawlessly with no wires.  I have posted another link that has the keyboard 1.02 firmware, CUE 2.24.50 and I also included a WordPad doc where I broke down every step that I took with details in case anyone is getting hung up like I was.

Hi Guys,

Nice to see that you managed to use K63 keyboard wireless, I just got the keyboard and after that I found out that I need to get adapter to use for PS4. So should I get the XIM apex for that and will it work ? I have the instructions how to do that but I don't want to get it and be useless like the keyboard.

Also, it would be really nice to get the link of instructions like from youtube if it  exists.

Congratulations to the ones who managed the wireless connection and hope to get help from you.

thanks,

WOOT! Thanks so much guys! I'ma show a 3rd alteration of the recipe since the first two had a qwerk that didn't work for me.

Blue is my additions

1. Delete the latest version of iCue.
2. Copy firmware 1.02 onto the keyboard using a pin. (I'm using K63 Wireless/SE, I found the pin hole under one of the flip-up legs. While pressing, plug in the usb cable) Note: I left the wireless dongle plugged in until the update instructions said otherwise so both dongle and usb were plugged in together
3. Install Cue 2.24.50 and launch the program as an administrator.  (Didn't need to do administrator... well to be honest I forgot that part lol)
4. Disconnect the internet. (After a few tries this didn't work for me so I turned it back on)
5. Flash the keyboard file 1.02 through iCue. (This did not work at all with several tries. Using 1.02 through iCue it would open up "CRP_DISABLED drive" even without the pin, the result was the keyboard wouldn't connect with the wireless dongle so no functionality with the pc)
"6". With your internet connected do the online firmware update option, "it even said v3.08 for me." On the working attempt I didn't use the *v1.02.zip through iCue
7. Delete the dongle from the device manager on the computer. (I tried this a few times when I was troubleshooting but didn't make a difference for me)
8. Install the latest version of iCue. (I skipped step 7 cause I didn't dare to fiddle anymore once I saw it was downgraded to 1.02)
9. Connect the keyboard to the dongle using iCue. (I used the 2.24 Cue for this)

I hope this helps save some time for someone, I spent about 7 hours before I got it working with the Xim 4

Thanks everyone who posted information on this!

Hey everyone!

I just received my K63 with lapboard, and to my dismay it doesn't connect to my PS4. I'm recovering from surgery so I'd really like to play from bed, but I haven't found many solutions that are comfortable for me which is why I picked it up.

I'm thinking of picking up the Xim Apex. Unfortunately at this moment money is a little tight, so I was looking for an alternative. I have some questions if you all wouldn't mind answering them. :)

I was trying to connect to my PS4 using the wired USB connection, and I found the BIOS mode. Well, I had to hook it up to my PC first to even get it to go into the mode, and thankfully I had read some of the horror stories about the firmware already before attempting it.... so I left my internet unplugged, lol. I checked the firmware in iCue and it's showing 1.07. Stupid question perhaps but is iCue even picking up the right firmware seeing as my internet was disconnected? It could still check it correct?

Next question. If I wanted to use USB wired for the meantime, and using an extender (I'll need to pick one of those up) ... is there any reason why it's not working on my PS4 even in BIOS mode? Would I need to update the K63 for the PS4 to see it? Any ideas? I don't want to update it unless I have no choice. I've tried it several ways. Plugging it in before turning on the PS4... leaving BIOS mode off, turning it on, etc. etc. and it's still not seeing it.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it. I'd like to keep it and use it if I can in the meantime till I can pick up Xim.. but like I said money is tight and I don't want to return it unless I have to.

Dear all,

has anyone have found a solution done the hard reset and the keyboard is 1.02V but the dongle is 3.12V?? I can do the hard reset on the keyboard. But then the dongle still 3.12V. using the icue new version or old version it just tell you to plug in both ----> unplug USB then switch to wireless mode---> then plug in both again. the solfware just gave me a blink of the keyboard but can not do the update.

please help. I am so stuck on this part.

HEY - Thanks so much for the pointers and file sharing in this thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SAVED ME 100$++++ ;D ;D ;D 8)
Made an account on this forum just to share my own experience and thank you all.

I've previously bricked a logitech keyboard doing a firmware update so I don't know why I would ever try again - but I did.

Story:
K63 Wireless Keyboard wanted to get upgraded to firmware v 3.12- so I followed instructions in iCue 3.24.52 - at 50 percent Windows 10 decided to update the keyboard files as well and disconnected the keyboard mid-update causing it to fail.  OMG BOO.  Restarted PC several times, keyboard showed up as the usb  CRP_DISABLED drive - but I did not know that was related to the fix.  Eventually no lights on the keyboard would turn on and it essentially acted completely 100% BRICKED, TOAST, DEAD, CRAP. 100$+ POOF

Soft resets as recommended on corsairs website - no good.
Contacted them for firmware -- don't want to wait 3 business days++++
ON TO YOU BEAUTIFUL BOIS  for the FIX!

MY FIX: DID NOT NEED TO UNINSTALL iCUE  ;D

1) LEFT CORSAIR iCUE STILL INSTALLED & opened and running the whole time -- newest current version 3.24.52
2) Downloaded 1.02 firmware off of this website, unzipped it, and placed it on my desktop in a folder labeled firmware
    1.02.
3) Hard reset keyboard - (with the switch on keyboard set to ON and the wireless dongle still plugged in to PC) -
Held down reset pin while plugging in USB into keyboard (USB is connected to a 3.0 slot in rear of PC).
4) Found CRP_DISABLED drive in explorer & CUT old firmware out and over to a folder labeled broken firmware JUST-
    IN-CASE.
5) Copied OLD 1.02 firmware over to CRP_DISABLED
6) Went to iCUE -- went to settings at the top -- then clicked the "Update" button on my K63 Wireless Device to have the software update the firmware for me to the newest available (3.12).
7) Followed the prompts as described in iCUE and it went through the update no problem  -everything is working fine!

*Notes-
1) My keyboard still was showing up in the settings section of the iCue software, but would not show up as an icon on the dashboard.  It would not connect direct USB or wireless, nor would any of the lights even turn on.  If your keyboard doesn't even show up under the settings tab of iCUE, you may not be able to update the firmware like I did.
