logitech mice are really good in 1000hz, however not every model is the same
my g502 doesnt have a steady 1000hz signal as it once in a while dips to 996hz while other g502 can perform a steady 1000hz signal

either way with a logitech and a bit of smoothing you cannot go wrong

I think you answered your own question. If you have an annoying stutter, you should try another mouse. There is no way I could  play like that.

so for peoples with no steady 1khz signal its better for them to use a steady 500hz?

Generally, yes. But is it depends on how unsteady it is.

I've tested it with 1khz and its often dips to 974-994... with 500 its stable...once in a while every 15 entrys it drops to 498. My Mouse is a G403

how can we check if signals are dropping down or are not steady at 1000Hz. is there a way to check this out. Thanks.

No issues for me with G502 at 1000hz.  Don't even need smoothing in BF1

Using Rival 600 12k DPI @ 1000hz on every game. Feels perfect

If 500Hz feels good and the mouse holds a steady rate, use it.

What do you mean by how steady the polling is?
Should it be locked at 1000hz no matter what?

It seems to just be tied to how fast I'm moving my mouse. Slow movements keep it between 100-400 and medium movements 400-900. Moving very fast gives me 900+
