XIM4 Connect Failure
« on: 10:21 PM - 03/08/18 »
Hey guys,

I have tried everything to get my XIM4 working again. I had it paired and connected and ran several games through it since Christmas. Just this last week tho I cannot get my XIM4 to connect to my iPhone like it was or the PC. I have tried a factory reset and nothing I do will connect my XIM4 to a device. What am I doing wrong? I seriously cannot figure it out and it's driving me nuts!

Thanks,

thecellofex

Welcome to the community. Do you know what firmware version you are running?

Thanks for your quick reply.

Iím not sure off the top of my head but I can tell you that I factory reset my XIM4 and then updated the firmware where I got the message that there was no update needed after the factory test. I am able to do offline wired configurations. I just canít get the wireless to work on my iOS device.

Thanks

Please go ahead and make sure you are using this one: https://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=49093.0

Also, iOS 11 may show your Bluetooth radio is on even though it's not (it have different "levels" of on). I'd verify that too.

Can confirm that I have the firmware that you linked.

I still can't get anything but a offline connection to my XIM4

Were you running an earlier version of iOS (not 11) when it was working last Christmas?

I have run ios 11 ever since Christmas and when this was first paired using the ios instructions. It worked with no issue until the beginning of this month or at least that is when I noticed that i could no longer use my phone to edit configurations.

So absolutely nothing has changed in your setup other than it won't connect?

I use an XBOX One S now instead of an Xbox One. That shouldnít change anything tho right?

iOS pairing has been tricky since the iOS11 update. Some have reported that toggling bluetooth and airplane mode off then on again in both phone settings and action center have allowed them to pair and use Manager.
