playing legit reach before sept 14

I got my copy of reach but im a little hesitant to play.. if i do start a campaign in offline, as soon as i log into live on the 14th will the achievements completed prior to sept 14 get me in a little trouble?

I know they have stated that they are checking for pirated copies of reach but didn't say anything about legitimate.

I hate playing games early, always have that thought in the back of my head that I could be the 1 in a thousand that gets banned ..

Id just wait.. I had a chance to get one early, but I kinda enjoy the 12:00 lineups..

Just read from Bungie's Brian Jarrard aka Sketch on the GAF Reach thread, he said something to the effect of:
"You got an early copy from a retailer?  Enjoy.  You won't be banned for legitimately playing a copy early."

Stats though, are being reset on the 14th, along with any EXP you earned.

I doubt they would ban customers that have a legit copy. I remember I got a copy of Halo 2 early, I played it for probably 15 hours a day the first couple days before the launch

credits are worth nothing as far as i remember (from the beta)
all you can do is buying armor with it, so just let them if they want to
its no improvement and im sure microsoft wont just sit & do nothing

I got my hands on a french copy of halo 2 couple of weeks before launched and my friends and I didn't get banned... It sucked because of lag but we still got to play it online.

 Have you tried just serching for servers to see if anyone else is playing  ? I've heard that where I live several retailers have already started selling Reach.
 Just wondering if anyone has checked the servers in game to see if they are occupied. Can you do that online somewhere?

Since there's around 30,000 people currently playing Halo Reach, and around 100,000 games played in matchmaking... it seems it'd be safe to play your legit copy online.

also if u get a copy early try not to log onto live you get a "early bird" screen telling you your playing early which im guessing takes note that you need your credits wiped
