Question about the G403 and sensor cleaning

Hi all! I noticed like 2 hairs on the sensor and Im a very self conscious and quite the perfectionist so I turned  to google and found the sensor cleaning method with the q tip and alcohol..  so I dipped it and squeezed it a bit on a clean towel in order to get rid of any excessive drippings.. and then rubbed it gently against all of the inside of the sensor hole back and forth.

BUT I DIDNT DRY IT OUT WITH THE 2ND DRY END OF THE Q TIP AND JUST WAITED A MIN BEFORE TURNING ON THE PC AND USING THE MOUSE.

After like 7 mons of browsing the led turned off and the sensor stopped responding till after I restarted the pc.

Afterwards i had no issues..
DID I JUST DAMAGE MY NEW G403? Does anybody know of a better sensor cleaning methods?

i dont think that alcohol can damage the sensor or the plastic element that sits in front of it
hard plastic is usually alcohol resistant while on soft plastic the alcohol will drain the softener out of it and the plastic becomes brittle
so the plastic protection that sits in front of the sensor should be fine

if the mouse is still under warranty then try to get a new one!

even it it happened only once? should I open a ticket @ logitech?

Yeah don't worry that's perfectly normal.

Actually isopropyl alcohol is our go to cleaning chips, even ethilic is OK.

Next time I will say, just spray the lens periodically with a compress air duster that's good enough and easy.

yeah I tried blowing inside a bit, but saw it didnt make the hairs to even move, and after using the dipped qtip, and then someone on Overclockers.net pointed out that I SHOULDN'T AT ALL USE ALCOHOL, and that I better use a "blowbag" (even though I dont know what that is)

I just opened a ticket, in addition, there's some shell deformation and the left mouse button sits assymetrically to the side and middle of the shell....
I applied the receit and everything, waiting for a response now..

so even though I didn't dry the alcohol out it didn't damage the sensor? 100% ?
