If a mouse requires a dedicated driver to function, it probably won’t work on a Xim. The only instance I can recall that this may have happened is some of the RAT mice. For keyboard, anything with analog keys such as the Wooting require PC drivers.
Most mice (and kbs) won’t have a problem and present as driverless HID devices. If a mouse works on both PC and Mac, it should work on a Xim.
Where it gets a bit murky is when companies tie some functions into their PC/Mac apps, like Razer Synapse and Roccat Swarm. The mice will still work, but some things like macros, key bindings and sensitivity stages may not. Core functions of DPI, Polling Rate and Lighting do store on-board all Razer mice. Custom RGB however may not store on a kb, but it should be otherwise functional.
If you’re at all concerned, stick with Logitech - they make brilliant gaming mice that have no issues with a Xim, except the G502 Spectrum, which needed a Xim firmware update a couple of years ago. Some custom lighting on a Logitech kb may be lost on connection to a Xim, but can be worked around using a USB switch to maintain power after setting up lighting in Logitech Gaming Software.
