Different solution, not better.

G302 should work if it currently works on Xim4.

The issue with the G302 is it's the last generation prior to Logitech implementing the far superior Pixart 3360 sensor in their gaming mice. A G303 would be perfect in that case, but they're rare as rockinghorse poop these days.

If you like the size and functionality of the G302, consider upgrading to a Logitech G Pro. My G303 died a few months back and I've transitioned seamlessly to a G Pro.

I have the G302, and it is fully compatible with XIM4 since firmware (20170103) and with the newest.

Side buttons, macros everything works.

better, metal skates
Subjectively better.

Objectively, a better sensor is far more important than skates. Bloody doesn't use good sensors, from what I can tell most of them are lasers.

What are you doing to your mouse that you feel the need for metal skates - using sandpaper as a pad?

all their products ship with metal skates and compared to anything Teflon I've ever tried this is like floating on air , if you manage to ever get one you'll be quite surprised at how it has lower resistance and friction compared to Teflon that's been my experience, this one is an optical based sensor as compared to Logitech I can't honestly tell a difference, because of that next two zero resistance when moving across the pad tracking a target in a first person shooter is the best I've seen

I would be tempted to buy one of them just to see what difference the metal feet have on gameplay, but none of them have enough buttons for me (I love my Swiftpoint Z).

I don't understand the desire for the g302. Is it shape, button layout, or weight? The g203 has a superior sensor, similar shape, true 1000hz, and is less expensive.

I see that you have g440 mouse pad; Doesn't a teflon feet mouse glide on it without friction ?

G302 is probably the mouse the OP already owns.

nope theres a detectable friction/resistance its quite apparent , mouse feet are an  overlooked area in game performance, metal vrs Teflon is a big difference
