Hi,

Will the Grifta solo be compatible with the Apex?  Also is it currently compatible with the XIM4?

Frustratingly Yes.. well almost 95% there.
If you're ok with playing ASWD controls (PUBG doesn't have analog movement anyways) then you'll love the Grifta. There are 3 modes on the grifta. One for 6 axis movement (You don't need that) One that simulates a Keyboard (ASWD). That one works great but you have limited movement (but no less than a keyboard)
The third option is the one that was supposed to work. And it does for the most part except the programmer (Paul) made it so the Grifta-trigger DOESN'T Trigger Left-Trigger but rather Left-Z-Axis. Some Joysticks use this for Yaw. The the Apex you can even make it so that pulling the trigger makes you move left or right, look up or down. It's essentially another stick axis.
If Mist/ObSIV would make it so that movements along any axis could be used as a keybinding/input then we could use it. But it would also making mapping a pain in the @#$% because you'd have to hold your mouse completely still or it would register X/Y movement as a keybinding.

I'm not sure what the solution is but if we could just keybind Z-Axis movement to left trigger then we'd be set.

Of course this is all if you use your left trigger to ADS. if you use your rightclick then it's fine, you just can't use the trigger that's all.

Hopes this helps and hope this gets new eyes on it so that Mist/ObSIV might finally address it.

I love that I backed the Grifta Duo on Kickstarter, then never saw either the product, nor a refund.

Wait...love's the wrong word here.

Even if it worked, I wouldn’t buy it. I sold mine. Not the best design. It feels every bit as awkward as the photos suggest.
Setup: XIM Apex, Titan Two, K780 keyboard, G Pro Wireless mouse, Logitech G440 mousepad, LucidSound LS30 headphones, Netduma router, Ubiquiti UniFi AP LR wireless access point

Exactly how I felt about it too, really was not that comfortable.
Regarding the d-input, Paul's words specifically were:
"xim will re-add  d-input support  in a month or two
bear in mind that xim was designed for keyboard and mouse and not gamepad and mouse"
per an email from him on 21-Nov-17

I've since tried contacting him a few times again, but haven't heard back; he's done a runner. Consider the Grifta dead.

Yeah I emailed him too with a similar response.

His response is BS though, for 2 reasons:

1) He promised d-input support from day 1, and used his XIM partnership in his pre-launch marketing...so he can't talk as if it was just an unpromised "nice to have".

2) Gamepad and mouse is absolutely a huge part of XIM. The only reason it isn't bigger than it is, is because Nav's are hard to come by these days. If Navs were still easily purchased, you can bet the numbers would be much higher.

Too bad that thing is burning a hole in my desk. I use it on PC a bit now though, works well there.
