Can we get better Configs/Ballistic Curves for Xim Apex?

I've been here since the beginning, and I have no issues tweaking configs, and messing with the ballistic curves, but it would be nice if the new Apex had these pro configs made by guys like @RML, already built in.

What we always get is just a bare bones config that works, but it's not dialed in, and it can take hours just to read through all the posts to get it working correctly. It never has a ballistic curve setup from the start, and  I can only imagine that the majority of the user base doesn't even attempt to use the ballistic curves because of the learning curve.

I play a lot of Battlefield 4, and now 1. A proper config for a Battlefield game consists of a setting for Soldier, Vehicles, and Sniping, yet, all we get from the XIM team is a lackluster config that requires a whole lot of time to add in these settings to really enjoy the game. Why can't the XIm team add some guys to make pro configs for the community? It would really be nice to load up a real config from the start, set up your buttons, adjust your sensitivity, and you would be good to go.

We all realize that with so many different devices that a config still has to be dialed in differently for everyone, but It would really nice to get a kick @#$% config/ballistic curve setting from the start. When I think XIm, I think excellence, and quality, but the configs have always been a let down, at least for me. They work, but not until you spend a whole lot of time. This time could easily be minimized if the Xim team included a few guys that make these pro configs and ballistic curves that we all use.

I mention @RML because I recently started playing Battlefield 1, and like usual I had to search through the community to find someone who actually make a real config for Battlefield 1, and I found his 13 page post for setting up Battlefield One, I'm sure you are all  familiar with it http://community.xim.tech/index.php?topic=50289.0 This kind of config is what we should have for every game, and wouldn't it be so much nicer to load this bad boy up from the start, right from the Xim-Manager? As Xim goes forward, and the quality of the XIm itself gets better, it's time that we got better configs from the start, and built in ballistic curves from the start.

Hey Maxxgold,

Truly appreciate the sentiment. I feel your pain when it comes to "fine tuning" configs. Truth be told though, we are a minority here and most never want or feel the need for Advanced Settings. The XIM team knows this, but they still work hard to give us "the minority" the options to tinker and adjust settings to our liking. As much as it would be great to have a new ST come out perfectly pre-dialed for RML, it just doesn't make sense overall for them to do so. They're not going to waste resources trying to cater to people's personal preferences.

OBsIV has given us the tools to work with. As a minority, that's really all we can ask for.

That being said, as an APEX Alpha tester. OBsIV made a point to ask for my opinion on ballistic curves, 1000hz and a new feature called Smoothing. All of which are an upgrade over XIM4 and have drastically improved the ease of config setup, especially when pertaining to Aim Assist problems. I think the majority of you that have struggled with AA in the past, as I have. You're really going to be happy with the setup ease of APEX.

As an example - you stated that you currently use my BF1 setup with XIM4 and my AA curves. So you know the complexity of setting that configuration up. Here's what my BF1 configuration entails with APEX!

- 1000hz polling
- 7 Smoothing on HIP
- 7 Smoothing on ADS

That's it! No ballistic curves, no boost. DONE!!

My point is, he does go out of his way to try and cater to users such as us. That's more then enough IMO, he certainly doesn't have to and APEX will sell alot of units either way.

Thank you for the response. Yeah, I love Xim, I couldn't play on console without it : ) I agree that all the tools are there for guys such as yourself to create these awesome configs. I would just like some of these configs added to the manager at the least. After you guys make a bad @#$% config, then there should be a way to get it updated to the standard config through the manager.

So, with the new Apex the need to do a lot of tweaking seems to be minimized, that is truly good news!! Like I said, when I think of Xim, I think quality, especially with all the knock-offs out there that just don't cut it. But, I would like to just select a top notch config, dial it in, and then get to playing. Looks like I will be picking up an Apex when they become available!
