Curves with decimal values.
« on: 10:05 PM - 08/18/17 »
Hi there,

I have noticed that curves won't save if you set the value of a curve point to anything other than a whole number or a 0.5 value. If you set it to let's say 11.6 and then restart XIM manager, the value will have defaulted back to 11.5.

If I set a curve to have .6 values, it generates the same exact curve code as a curve with .5 values.

Hopefully that makes sense, but is this behavior on purpose?

I can feel the difference in game between a curve that is .5 and .6 but the curve codes are exactly the same.
My Setup
Xbox One + XIM 4
Monitor: Asus 24" VG248QE
Mouse: Roccat Kone Pure Owl-Eye @ 2000 DPI 500hz
Mousepad: Coolermaster Swift-RX XL
Keypad: Razer Orbweaver Chroma
Audio: Astro Mixamp -> Amplifier -> Sennheiser HD800 w/ Antlion Modmic 4.0

XIM curves work in hex where 00 (0) is 0.0 and C8 (200) is 100.0 (the actual values get divided by 2) which gives you an interval of 0.5.

But why is the interval 0.5 (1/2) when it could be 0.39 (1/2.55)? Why is C8 the limit when it could be FF?

P.S.

This is bs at so many levels.

Why is C8 the limit when it could be FF?

Because the general population thinks in base-10.
