I'm interested in this mouse. I have an email query out to razer for a status update that you mentioned about saving the dpi on the mouse.
So to be clear it works with Xim4 currently but it doesn't save your dpi from the computer. But when you get on your playstation you can hit a button to increase the dpi manually and it saves from as long as you are logged in. This process has to be repeated everytime you get on your playstation right? No other issues with the mouse functionality?
Just reporting that the new Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition works great.
EDIT: Does not remember DPI steps yet, it seems you just have to tap the DPI up to maximize it every time you connect to the XIM4. But the mouse is said to have onboard memory and an upcoming software update from Razer will enable it to be used.
Can you use it at 1000hz on XIM4? Because afaik it comes at 500hz stock settings and only with Synapse it can have 1000hz on windows.
Sorry for getting back to you guys after so long.
I got around to some experimenting today and the mouse does seem to remember the exact same settings you were last using on the PC.
For example, if I set 3200 DPI on my PC and then switch to the XIM4 (I use a IOGear KVM switch to switch between my PC and XIM) the mouse remembers the 3200 DPI on the XIM. However, if I hit either the DPI up or down buttons, the 3200 DPI is lost and it defaults back to what I'm assuming is steps of 800, 1800, 4500, 9000, 16000). So if you set a DPI and avoid hitting the DPI buttons once you are back on your XIM, there is no problem remembering DPI.
I'm assuming this goes the same for polling rate (I have mine set to 1000hz). I'd be surprised if it was not remembering the polling rate when it is able to remember the last DPI setting.
Chroma lighting is also retained (whatever lighting option you had set on the PC remains on XIM).
