Sony Nav wearing out

The joystick mechanism on my nav is finally starting to wear out, and i cant find a replacement anywhere. I'm not afraid of soldering, i'm wondering if its possible to replace it with a ps3 joystick part or if anyone else has had this issue

Yep, 3 pin versus 4 pin, which is strange. Luckily i looked up 4 pin joysticks on ebay and found one that looks correct for like 1.50 from hong kong, so in a month ill try it out and update

I saw some on EBay and Amazon. I already had 1, I grabbed 2 more when my brother asked me to grab him one.

Trying to find them is a pain, due to the Sony Nav GPS that is all over the website. I'd rather have one long term and repair it as i've already done some other mods to it like on the triggers and body and such
