is it possible to play with fairly low mouse sensitivity?

so i've been thinking about buying a xim1 for my ps3 to play strictly mw2 with some of my friends and serious factor for me is being able to play at a mouse sensitivity that is fairly close to the sensitivity i've used for years in quake/cpma/HL/HL2/TFC etc. 
My mouse is the old razer death adder (1800 dpi max) and i play at at a sensitivity of 360 degrees of in-game rotation over 17.5 inches.  so for examples of my sensitivities from those games:

125hz polling rate
450dpi (i'll have to up these when using the xim from what i've gathered)

quake 3/cpma= 2.5
half life= 1.45
half life 2= 2.5
COD MW2= 2.2 (set from config file, not slider)

so do you guys think that it will be viable to play at this sensitivity(or at least in the ballpark) without adverse side effects?

I don't see why not.  It isn't hard to make a bad config.

But you should have no problems making a config that is that slow.  Their is nothing really holding you back, you would just have to lower sensitivity a bit.

and i wouldn't call the profile i want "slow," i still need to be able to make quick 180's and such, it just requires me to make a lot larger and quicker of a movement to do so. i guess i want to know if it can handle that without spasming or delay of any sort, or if it even matters as long as the mouse can handle it, in which case there shouldn't be a problem.

i used my MSintellimouse at first.  it was "near perfect" in my eyes.  then i found the near part to be annoying, tried skippyfx's config, took my friends blue g5 (at 1600 dpi) and opened a whole new world.  i used to play CS with a low sensitivity so i know what you mean.  its just different.  but i assume you still could do what your talking about, hell even with this config im using you could make it the way i think you want.  the only thing about dpi is

I know this is not the "correct" way of looking at the xim, and i have no idea the real differences (except obvious generalizations) between the xim and xim2, but...

I think of the xim as a mouse glued to the top of a 360's (or ps3's) joystick.  This IS what the xfpos IS -emulating a joystick-. Yet the Xim gives you options that change the parameters of the joystick.  It makes 1/4 of an inch movement, by the mouse, turn you however much you want it to turn you ect.  the accuracy of these options is defined by what gives the Xim this information of the mouse movements, which I find is/in the mouse DPI. So I find that when someone says the DPI makes everything more sensitive, it is true and not true to me.  True because the DPI gives the Xim more sensitive information of mouse movements, but not true as you can make a config that is just sensitive to begin with(debatably)---where this would mean "low sensitivities would be an option too"--.  The definition of what "sensitivity" one is talking about becomes what is called into question.
Like I said though, this is ONLY how I look at it....

Low sensitivity on consoles wouldn't be hard. But turning round would be a difficult task if you ask me. Using the noob sticks you can turn round as many times as you like with no effort, but using 44cm (the whole of my mouse pad) to do 1 full turn is pretty challenging enough. I used to play on low sensitivity too, using the same mouse with the Razer Goliathus Alpha pad when in quake3 I could do about 1.2 turns for the whole 360.
Precision wise i'd say; it would be a great advantage, but close quarters could be tricky.

If y our expecting just like pc performance, you you won't get it, but its as close as you can get...

Flicking 180degree turns is only possible in a few games...and even then only with an extremely sensitive config.

You can only turn as fast as the game will allow...AKA, you tried to cut a 360, and move your mouse your 17.5 inches quickly, you might move...2 inches on screen...to do 360's and 180's with an xim, you move the mouse quick, but once constant motion...not fast..not slow..just one speed like a smooth glide...hard to explain.

almost like...a deceleration. if you mvoe the mouse quick, one side of pad to the other, your xhairs move..1 inch, you move it slow, one side of mousepad to the other..youll do a 360...
