Only 4 more days before the Neo reveal. Hopefully this is one of the games showcased and they give the DF team a go with BF1 on it.

Beta ends on Thursday.

I kinda wish they just did bf4.5, this game is has a lot of inconsistent weapons yet the snipers are dead accurate. Hopefully all the weapons get a huge buff while sniping stays the same or just huge nerf for snipers. I can't stand the higher hp "gimp" style characters, like the horseman and the gimp fkers with heavy mg. The "rocket gun" is a perfect counter to the horses and gimps, you have to go prone to setup the bipod on the rocket gun, but it's part of the fun bc you have plenty of time to setup for when a horse is charging.

I do like the planes, but of course they'll get boring after a month. I cant seem to do anything with the bombs tho, I have no trouble taking out other planes or infantry but I haven't done over 9 damage with bombs from the attack plane, I haven't tried the actual bomber.

After seeing IW and MW:R, I dont think I will bother to play bf1 after trying the beta. Nor even have time for it probably. Its once again looks like a typical unfinished BF that will be halfways balanced and properly patched after 1 year.

It doesnt come surprising as well, seeing how Dice simultaneously developed Star Wars BF and Mirrors Edge, all of which turned out rather mediocre.

You cant focus on a job properly when you have to jump between 3 projects, which is why all 3 games are mediocre to bad.

I think they need to rebuild the franchise from the ground up like they did with BC2. The setting might have changed but at its core it feels like it's just evolving from that.

I've played it on PC and Xbox now and the PC version even with my 760 GTX and i7-2600 it runs at 60 fps on medium settings....

Only issue it won't give me the option to play at 1920x1080 60.00hz. Only 59hz and then it runs 1080i on my monitor and looks like @#$%...... Any suggestions on fix?

My IRL friends will play on Xbox unfortunately even though they all have a PC that can run BF1...Still not sure what platform to get it on  :(

I think those settings depend on your monitor, not sure but that's what I assume.

I certainly hope that the game isn't as broken as the beta is. But this is Dice we're talking about here and just the fact that they would put out such a garbage beta is disturbing in itself.

I'm still looking forward to playing the campaign, but I may be spending the majority of my time with MW and IW based off what I've seen so far.

MW looks GREAT and IW is looking like a bit of a surprise at this point.

Maybe I'm missing something but all other games I've ever played work fine at native resolution.

I'm enjoying the beta. Sniping feels "easier" for me in BF1 that BF4 for instance and one of my best games was playing as assault on the desert rush map, going through all sniper positions and circling back and then place the bomb on A and B. Maybe it's because it's the beta but I found that most snipers tend to hardscope into the enemy position and lose all care on their surroundings. One other game I played as a medic and I was giving sniper support and health and we breezed through the map with 2 less on our team.

I'm not sure if I'm buying this one, since all my PSN friends will be going back to Destiny and so I will probably too and I was actually thinking about getting Titanfall 2. I loved the game and the gameplay and I really don't understand why there's so many people talking smack about it... I'm not pointing my finger at all the CoD fanboys, but I'm also not, not doing that.  :P ;D

Any game that has maps where I can throw a grenade (or knife) immediately upon spawning at the start of the game and get a kill is something I stay away from...cough, CoD.

That said, there are some amazing CoD players here.

After playing the BF1 beta, I am looking forward to the cod4 RM. Sniping feels strong, almost like cod sniping (very little lead is needed). In a WW1, I would imagine there would be more bullet drop, but these rifles seem to have a high velocity rating. That sinai map is huge! any point to any point is fine, but that  (E)dwards is out in the middle of nowhere. The "RDS sights" suck, I can't see anything I prefer the iron sights. If the enemy is the tan uniform, I literally can't see them if they lay prone in front of me.

Looks like SWBF to me, looks pretty but probably won't last long. I may feel differently had there been another map to play. Conflicts in the sand environment has always been boring to me. Just my 2 cents.

To be honest that map is a snipers haven. Not very much cover at all. I feel like as people begin to play all the maps on the real version, that there will be more positive feedback on the game.

Probably so. Sinai is alright, I like it for vehicle play but the points are about a mile apart. Sucks for playing as infantry unless sniping. I am a huge fan of shot gunning in bf games and obviously had to play much slower in bf1 compared to any other. To play cqb you pretty much had to take c flag and wait to the enemy team to contest it. I do like that you really have to think where the enemy is at tho, it's satisfying to plan a route and get results.

Senai def looks a lot like swbf, almost a copy paste with the desert maps colors and cliffs. There should be more variety in the full game. The alpha map didn't make me think of swbf at all so I wouldn't say it has zero potential just yet.

I loved it. once I figured out how to play and understood where snipers was at.  for a beta and 1 map, I thought it was addicting. I'm sold and rdy for full version.

I do enjoy the beta, but I wish DICE would provide a map which leaned more toward infantry combat included with the very open and vehicle dependent map in Sinai.

Most weapons in-game worked as intended. I think the only weapon that needs tweaking is the MP18 Trench and Artillery models. I personally believe they need an increase to hip-fire spread cone to make it less accurate and a small increase in spread or make 1st shot spread multiplier from x5 to x6.

I might express some more opinions via commentary later.
