(Serious Poll) Keyboard or nah?

Scenario:
We beat a top tourney team in quarter finals and they got a ref on my team for suspicion of us "boarding". He said "If any of you show signs of mousing we will forfeit you with no refund, please invite me to your match".


My teammates both pull out controllers and i pulled on my tourney config for hip. LMK your thoughts. would you forfeit me?

i dont see why someone would want to forfeit on purpose in a tourney, you might as well just try to win even if your opponent is using a mouse and keyboard

if you cap your turnspeed it will really be hard to call you out for using a mouse or even find an obvious proof

You'd think, but when there's money on the line, people will look for any reason to forfeit the opponent..

And that's exactly what i did. I lowered my curve and capped it @ 79.5 . I was just wondering if other people thought it was safe enough to use even when I'm the primary one being spectated. i think i can pull it off because there's not enough 'blatant proof' but any experienced person might still call out some smooth turns around corners and stuff. idk.. just wanted some opinions on what some people thought. I could pull out my controller when being spectated like my teammates, but I'm hoping this "cap" is enuff..

the cap should be enough, maybe reduce it even more to be on the save side


when those teams do forfeit do they not lose their buy-in for the tournament?
i mean it would be no different to losing to your team would it (except for keeping the stats clean)?

I voted no, because the clip your provided would make it too hard to tell. However, the thing you need to ask yourself is, is it worth the hassle? I mean each day kids are getting smarter about mkb in cod. Look what happened when you were forced to go to those settings and your teammates had to use a controller, you guys lost and you missed a lot of shots lol. To me the risk of that happening more and more would be enough to say I'm done with mkb, especially when my own money is on the line.

That's whats been annoying to me lately is just the accusations, makes me want to go back to being good with a controller for competitive.

I feel yah. my buddies on his 3rd account for this game already. UMG basically makes you record hands every tourney if you're on there "watch list".

And yeah, my shot suffers a little when i'm worried about the spectating ref and slower Sens. There's just too many others using keyboards in the scene that using a controller is such a disadvantage.

The struggle will continue i guess. just can't pass up winning these tourneys for some extra cash. Wish they'd just allow it already. GB at least turns a blind eye alot. :/

Switch over to PS4...they sell a @#$% m&k now. Theres no way anyone will be able to say squat in a tourney if Sony themselves support the use and sale of mouse and keyboard lol.

Doesn't matter what system you're on. The site (UMG) that runs the tournaments has the right to ban anything they wish. If you go into a search and destroy stars stream I'm willing to bet it'll take roughly 1-2 minutes before you see someone bring up "keyboarding" in chat. At that point it starts a hoard type mentality between chatters where literally everyone will start talking about it, negatively, of course.
