Ya, I ran the lines last friday - had a little trouble getting through insulation without fishing rods, but i made it work.  Now just waiting for internet/cable to be activated to confirm that they work (they worked when i wired them, just waiting to confirm)

Hmm Cat7 seems like overkill and a waste of money.

Also, NO most devices don't use 10gbs speed.  Your computer, Router, and Console is most likely rated for 1Gbs.  A 10gbs nic alone costs between 300$ - 500$.  Unless your going to be doing some heavy data transfer or streaming hd video to something like a plex server you will probably never be using the max speed of 1Gbs.  Also in order to handle that network traffic you are gonna need one hell of an expensive industrial router.

Save some money.  The monoprice cat6 utp will work just fine.

  Cat7 is rated for 10Gbs I believe

Also you dont need shielded cable.

If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for Cat7 cables?

Heck, after seeing the price of cat7 at that link I probably would've just gone for it. That's dirt cheap compared to the local market.
