[Q/A] Disconnecting problem.

I'm just wondering as to whether anyone could advise me as to why my xim4 has been disconnecting and the lights flashing random colours. It's only started happening yesterday and today.
I don't have the latest firmware.

What color are the flashing lights? We have a few different light codes. If you are seeing yellow flashing lights then please not how many flashes per set you see. XIM4 flashes X amount of times in three sets. For example:

1 flash x 3
2 flash x 3
3 flash x 3

If you do see yellow flashing, please note the number of flashes per set.

We should also get you up to date. Here is a link to information on the latest build.

Cheers, it never happened again last night. I'll keep an eye on it today and see how it goes. On the updating bit, I really don't to as I'll lose all of my settings.

Ok, if it comes up again you will need to update for support. The new build has improved logging as well so it can be helpful in troubleshooting the issue. Another perk is full backup/restore, of course this only works if you have already configured your XIM4 using the new build, you can't backup a previous build where this feature didn't exist.
