I suggest for those new xim users that struggle to find or feel a good settings for them is to try first linear settings which is found here if you guys are reading, 8.5 curve for ps4 12 for xbox no boost no steady aim and use console crossover ST, once you somehow manage to control or felt comfortable on linear ramp which is easier than using expo at first, then switch to default Overwatch ST in xim and use exponential ramp. This is what I did and right now expo ramp is really the best set up for me.. Linear ramp has its acceleration which i dont like causing my shots to be inconsistent especially with mccree you wont really build muscle memory in this linear ramp. after i switched to expo after using linear for almost 2 months I really felt i can control the expo ramp causing my accuracy to increase dramatically. I really regret reading for a lot of hours trying to find a better setting rather than using the default which is the best IMHO.

When I tried Expo ramp again a couple days back it was the exact same thing for me. I found I had to increase aim assist window whereas on Linear I use a very small amount (1-4). Expo to me is exactly like you said, you are letting the games aim assist do all the work and just pointing in their general direction

Exactly!! I'm doing good using linear then after switching to expo I'm at my best. It's really the best mouse experience on console just like what you have said. I think it's really hard to emulate PC mouse aiming with xim if it's just getting inputs from our controller right? I'm just here for some new reading users that struggle to find their settings. Use default OW ST and expo ramp. That's it.

Linear is for those want PC like aiming trying to copy it with xim and as of now I can say they still cant achieve it 100% obviously because we are on console and the turn speed issues vs PC. I'm amazed by people who plays on console and PC. I just play on PS4 so im really fine with the decault st and expo settings.

I've been using Linear Ramp since the fix was published here. Recently got back onto Expo and like others have said, it's feeling pretty good.

i've aim problems after the update with expo ramp. generally i have 48/50% precision with soldier, but after the update i'm having problems to track for example a lucio or a mercy. With tracer im feeling really bad now, so i switched to linear ramp following the first curve of this post

Xim4 is supposed to be the best 1:1 PC-like product on the market, and we are repeatedly told how the ST makes everything Linear...  Aim Assist is not supposed to be necessary if we have all this linear 1:1 precision. But do we?  Sounds like people can't hit a barn unless the game stops their aim on target.

Yes, you can set up your XIM4 to play Overwatch w/ Aim Assist:OFF. Have been playing that way since Blizzard allowed to turn such off. The part that drives me crazy is knowing that this supposed "Unfair Advantage" that using M+KB gives everyone is actually diminished and negated by Aim Assist itself. How can you precisely turn and Aim w/ the CPU trying to take over by slowing down your Aim making controls literally Unresponsive. Using Aim Assist gives you the same level of controls that Controller gives you since the CPU is giving you that same magnetic attractive force towards the opposition.

I cannot tell you how much better this game feels w/o using Aim Assist. Aim Assist is absolute garbage IMO. No way in hell would I ever advise anyone to use such. Just set up your controls so that they work as intended and learn to go w/o. You are much better off in the end doing such.

To me there is no point in turning it off completely just play around it and use it for micro movements. If I turn it off I would have to lower my sensitivity -> smaller turn radius only to keep my precision which I only need on enemies anyway.
This is not PC, you have to find the perfect balance between turning speed and accuracy since having both is hard without perfect settings.

Exactly because they're ppl in the community that says "YOU HAVE TO USE THIS CONFIG AND ONLY THIS CONFIG" and that's no where near the case especially for new users. If you wanna use the duke nukem st for overwatch and it works for you then go ahead. Just don't get locked into using one config because somebody said to.

Lol what a 720°? When I use lets say a 20 Sensitivity and 12k DPI which is overkill I can barely do a 360° so whats your trick, the Turn Assist?

To me there is no point in turning it off completely just play around it and use it for micro movements. If I turn it off I would have to lower my sensitivity -> smaller turn radius only to keep my precision which I only need on enemies anyway.
This is not PC, you have to find the perfect balance between turning speed and accuracy since having both is hard without perfect settings.

You can do 720+ degrees w/o lifting your mouse and still have precision aim. You are definitely not being forced to play this game using Aim Assist. I mean I understand absolutely everyone is using Aim Assist. Im just saying XIM4 works & the game is playable w/o such.

Lol what a 720°? When I use lets say a 20 Sensitivity and 12k DPI which is overkill I can barely do a 360° so whats your trick, the Turn Assist?

The trick is Do Not Copy/Paste. Build you'te own Settings & anything is possible.

Feels like having Training Wheels On w/ the CPU taking over my controls from me. Feels amazing doing everything on your own rather instead. Personal preference but yeah I wont allow myself to play using AA.
