For the people saying it works so well... I'm at a loss.

Lowering the DPI and Tick Rate helped getting rid of some of the stuttering but I still get excessive aim assist when I look in the general direction of an enemy.

For comparison, Destiny has aim assist but it is far less intrusive than The Division and Overwatch.

At this point, I might just try to play the game with a controller and try to compare how the game feels.

What I did is increase the boost to high numbers.  If I play with 3600dpi 1000hz I crank up the boost to either 3750 or 5625. That is 50-75% of the default deadzone value. I think my sense was either 20 or 40. I don't remember since I no longer use the setting myself. I am currently using henry'so curve from a few pages back. I know it seems insanely high but for some reason I was able to increase my turn speed to a much more desirable rate with the extreme boost levels. I use aim assist and am running the 0703 release beta. Hope this works for ya. Hate to see xim4 users revert to controller :-)

I have just recently purchased a XIM4 and set it up today. I wanted to hear some feedback from people who now know exactly what they are doing and things they wish they knew when they first got the XIM4. First, I use XIM4 for Overwatch. I am very used to using a keyboard and mouse, however I am having difficulty finding a good starting point settings wise. Would someone who plays Overwatch please share with me their settings and any information that would be good for a novice user?

something you should know is that "advanced settings" doesnt mean better settings, for a general game the best config will be to not touch advanced settings as any change in the advanced settings means your aim is no longer 1:1 as on PC

though there are exceptions such as overwatch
since overwatch has quite some inputlag and a timebased acceleration, it does indeed make sense to use the advanced settings

as for a good overwatch config i suggest to look into henrys curve posted in this topic (eg on top of this page) as well as the config from humanfemale posted on page 5 onwards

I've tried the default curve (i.e. no curve) with a variety of DPIs and HIP sensitivity. What I found is that you need to go down to 5-10 with the default curve to avoid the jitters.

I then tried Henry's curve, and no matter the mouse sense, no jitters. I, however, have turned aim assist to 20, and use HIP sens of 9-10 and boost at 50 with steady aim. I have not tried humanefemale's curve, yet.

I wonder two things:

(1) with herny's curve, should you have aim assist at 70-80, or not. I've tried it both ways, and can't tell a difference. From what I've seen about OW aim assist, it seems like it may hurt trying to tract targets. Does anyone have any anecdotal stories that they can share about this?

(2) how is humanefemale's curve vs. henry's curve with heroes like Genji, and Tracer?

I got 60 elimination 19,000 demage 40 final shot in a rank yesterdays with 76, verything seems good,my setting here:
12,000dpi, 1000pull
latest beta vision(steady aim)0624
sensitivity:40
boost:80
steady aim on
curve:
>>> XIM4 [Mouse Ballistics] START PASTE >>>

X4MB:AAAAGgA0AC4AMAAwAC4AMgAwADEANgAwADQAMAA1AAoUHigyPEZQWmRobHB0eHyAhIiM:X4MB

<<< XIM4 END PASTE <<<
in game setting:
aim assist 70~80

Might be a dumb question to ask but I main D.Va, Roadhog and Ana. Will this work for them?
it should works with every hero.

So, according to this, what should be in game vertical and horizontal sensivity?

Ok, so the difference between the beta firmware and standard firmware is a difference of 100% to 120% of boost? or what is it? I had the stv2 beta before, but then an update came and it woudnt let me access the xim from my phone anymore, nor backup my configs for some reason, so it all got wiped out when I installed the newest firmware, and not looking to have that all happen again.

Is there any values I can adjust to make my settings with the official firmware match that of henrys using the newest beta?

using
12,000dpi, 1000pull
latest official firmware
sensitivity:9
boost:80
steady aim on
with henrys curve and 70ish aim assist on certain characters,  0 for predict projectile shot characters like phara and lucio.

I have a basic Microsoft Mouse, is there any point for me to buy a Xim4 or will I need to upgrade my mouse first?

Thinking of using it for Overwatch, how good does it get? Seems to be a quite problematic to get good settings?

You'll have better success with a gaming mouse with high dpi and a flawless sensor, a lot of us use the logitech g502. There are cheaper alternatives though, however I am not to up to date with them all.  How well the xim4 works depends on the game; stuff like the games max turn speed and aim assist/deadzones.  Some games like COD and battlefield run really well, while other games with slow turn speeds or bad deadzones may need some help from advanced settings.

The polling rate and DPI will be changed by plugging your mouse into your PC and adjusting the values within your mouses on board memory profiles.  The HIP sensitivity would be set by adjusting it through the xim 4 software using a bluetooth device or pc connection to the xim4 itself.

Having tried humanfemales and henry's curve, I've been just using no curve at all for a few games and been doing very well. I've been mainly playing Tracer, that means I need the movement to be unrestricted, and I need the time based acceleration built in or I can't turn fast enough.

http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/Sensational/video/20924046

Here's some gameplay - I've come gold in damage in 90% of the games I've played and basically carried in terms of eliminations.

Mouse: Zowie ZA11 @ 1600dpi
FW: latest non steadyaimboost drop
No curve
45 Sensitivity
1500 boost
30 aim assist
