hello, I have looked all over for a solution and nothing works. everything worked fine yesterday and now tonight I turn the ps4 on and my controller, keyboard, and mouse will not detect. I updated the firmware, restored factory defaults and nothing. the controller is fully charged. Any suggestions? Thanks

This sounds like a power fault. It can usually be resolved by the following

1) Fully charge your controller and other battery powered devices
2) Disable rumble/vibration
3) Disable LED lighting on your peripherals

I have struggled with this problem too at one point. My issue... make sure the mouse is plugged into the left port and the keyboard into the right. I can't be the only one who overlooked this or maybe I am.

I have followed all of those steps, and it still does not work. The controller is fully charged, rumble is off, and there are no lights on my keyboard. Everything is plugged in where it needs to be. I have also updated and restored to every firmware there is and as soon as I turn it on, the keyboard and mouse flash then shut off. I love this product, but it seems that I have had nothing but issues since I bought it a few months ago. It will work one day, then the next it doesn't. Sometimes I have to restart it 3-4 times to even get it work. It is very frustrating. Could it be the Xim itself?

For troubleshooting purposes you should be up to date with 20160405.

It's very unlikely that it's your XIM4. This is usually caused by a peripheral or cable. If this happens immediately could you try powering your XIM4 on without your controller attached? Does it still occur?

Also, could you list your setup?

Its up to date with the latest version but I will need to get the new manager. I use ios and have to wait for testflight or I could put it on my android tablet. All of the cables are brand new and the keyboard I use is the G510s which is listed as "incompatible" but has worked for 3 months. I will try it without the controller plugged in when I get home and give you an update. Thanks

ah ok, your keyboard is causing it then. There have been reports from other G510s users who experience power faults as well. This is why it's listed as not compatible. We have a hardware compatibility update coming in the next few weeks, it may help with your keyboard. Until then I would use another keyboard that is known to be compatible on our list.

Ok, i turnt it on without the controller hooked up and the keyboard and mouse came on fine. Whats the issue?

It could be that the controller is not getting a full charge for some reason.

Have you tried using a different controller?

Have you tried using a different charger?

Have you tried using a different cable to charge the controller?

You could always try to charge it with a USB charger plugged into the wall and see if that helps.

I answered him in another post and PM but not here. All devices connected and drawing power at once is likely too much for a single port to power everything. I've suggested using other peripherals that draw less power as a troubleshooting step but haven't heard back yet.
