So who wants to buy my copy of MW2?  Everything in perfect condition - no smudges or scratches :)  I'm going to use the money to get COD4 and COD5 again.

cod4 is only semi enjoyable now. i never see more than 10-12k people playing at any give time.

its a faster game(movement speed is higher) which is great.
its frustrating as every game boils down to us (awesome top tier players) + a couple of bad (but now average) players VS 100% newbies = no-fun-ultra win.
OR
you + newbs VS players the newbs cant handle = you either win out HUGE being the only threat to kill anything, or more often than not get spawn trapped. I will say, the other night I tried playing COD4 (still laggy as seemingly always) with no good loadout/perks. Never had more 50-60 kill games in TDM in a row.
Somebody didn't read the rules before posting. You need a post count of 100 500 to talk directly to toys.

As a hobbyist game-developer, here is what is wrong with MW2:

1)  Game mechanics which encourage camping.
  - Stopping power with no counter means even quicker deaths typically.
  - Quick deaths means 1st shot wins which means don't be the guy moving instead of watching a corner.
  - Killstreak rewards that basically trump every other game objective.

2)  Uncounterable game mechanics that ruin killstreaks for non-campers while not helping their team.
  - Akimbo shotguns
  - Commando pro

3)  Random elements which detract from the fairness/spirit of competitive play
  - Care packages

A guy running around with Akimbo shotguns will go negative every time.  However, there is no counter for someone spawning, running, turning a corner, and pulling both triggers without having to aim, think, etc.  These guys ruin legit killstreaks without really doing well themselves and there is no counter for it except to camp even more, use claymores, etc.

Some things they did correctly:
-  Equipment
-  Riot Shields

Really? What engine? Since there is no mod support for the COD games i moved on to UDK. To me, this is so much easier for my skill level.

What boddiebagger calls losing a gun fight means, killing the opposing team 3 times over and dying once.

I've been doing mod/dev stuff in Unreal Engine off/on for a few years now.  I haven't checked out UDK yet but I've heard good things.

 Being that IW put our hobbies to a rest with their games, I believe some upcoming games will try to reach out and grab those hobbyist guys like you and me for the PC. The new Medal of Honor that is coming out is set in Modern Combat, is being made with the Unreal Engine 3 and Frostbite engine. MOH may want to pick up those people that IW left behind. Also, 2k has a spec op game coming out made with the Unreal Engine. SO here's to hoping they allow some mods.

The PS3 texture resolution & detail is flat out lower
PS3 has almost no antiscopic filtering
PS3 frame rates are ALWAYS lower

How is this better? Its not.

COD4/5/6 is rendered @ 1024*600 on either console and is scaled to the resolution the console is set too.

glad you have convinced your self of that false truth are you talking about online coz the graphics are lower online then single person game on both consoles ive not played mw2 xbox online
an i wont till i get my xim3 but the graphics in single player mode are better looking on ps3 100%

but mw2 single player ps3 looks better my friend rob has it on xbox an he plays it on his mates ps3 too after doing this for a number of months he said he cant deny it any longer the ps3 version looks clearer an more visualy stunning an he is so convinced its better he is selling his xbox an games to buy a ps3 slim with mw2

Thinking your PS3's blue-ray has anything to do with the game. There is no game on either console yet that is NEAR being over an 8gb DL DVD's capacity size. PERIOD. Ontop of that, there are only rescently projected games that will require moving to 20gb DL DVD's, of which the 360 supports reading.
So telling people that game quality wise a PS3's blue-ray player could increase anything over the console's lifespan is nutty. Especially when the real world access time of it is far higher than the regular DVD player in the 360 - which leads to a DECREASE in quality.

Furthermore, the Xbox 360 game itself is LARGER than the PS3's copy of the game while BOTH are much smaller than the PC version. Go compair your torrent sizes for 360 & PS3.


Im sorry, but no PS3 does look better as a whole, nor does it play better . it just looks alot better

again like  i said ive got both versions the xbox 1 player was so much lamer i only play it on ps3
when i get my xim3 i will play it online too but 1 player i cant play on the xbox looks better on ps3
ive got both copies an can see for myself what looks best on my tv an thats ps3 version sorry but true

I have both, and the ps3 lets you see those pesky campers that I never see on the 360.  But the 360 has a better community i think, the 360 took the chunk of americans.

i was shocked when i read this and thought i was the only one.

from what they done already with brink (and their past games they created??? enemy territory, elder scrolls, enemy territory quake wars were all the games i enjoyed multiplayer the most exc elder scrolls)

I'm looking more towards the idea of teamwork based, that pretty much today doesn't fully exist in games.  you need the engineer to plant, covert to destroy command post, medic to heal, field ops for ammo and air support, soldier for whatever else.
