Mist: About 'The Division' ST training
« on: 12:08 AM - 03/10/16 »
I think it is pretty standard except for 1 exception.  There are at least 3 aim mechanics in the game and I have a feeling there could technically be many more if they do stuff "by scope".

Hip Fire
ADS / Shouldered
ADS / Scoped

It seems like different scopes have different speeds depending on how far they zoom in, but not necessarily a different deadzone / mechanic from ADS / Shouldered.

Just a heads up.  I think having an ST for Hip and ADS is fine... but then let people know to create a 3rd toggled sensitivity or something for scoped that fits their needs.

Its quite easy to setup.
My scope is configured to key "F"

New profile, activation key F (toggle), higher or lower sens.
Use w,a,s,d as deactivation key.

It sounds like how GoW works. Hip, ads, and zoom. Thanks for the heads up.

Yea, easy to set up. Was just letting him know to look at the trainer for all 3 potentially.

It might turn out that ADS just might be the same as hip - then we'd just need a sensitivity change.

I know STs take time and I'm not trying to rush you, but would it be possible to get an updated ETA on the ST for The Division? Or maybe just whether there's any chance of it being out this weekend?

I can't provide an ETA aside from mentioning support is usually available within a week of release. There are many factors that affect when it's finished.

I was just hoping for an idea of whether it might be out this weekend or definitely not. I understand though, thanks for replying. :)

By the way he made it sound he said thanks for the heads up, he hasn't even started on it.. And it's 4 days later and  4 days out for it being a week, wouldn't be supprosed if it took longer than a week, I really hope not and not to mention there's a third aiming mechanic to train that ads like 12 hours onto it.

Not started yet?  Let's not be dramatic.  I believe each mechanic is trained separately so even if he's 12 hours in.. that new info is not going to hurt the remaining trains.

you expect mist to work on weekends?!?! give the guy a break!!!!

in theory we MIGHT get the ST by Sunday based on the following:

a) mist received copy of game on Wednesday(games are usually shipped on wednesday or thursday after they're released per mist). Lets just say he got it Thursday.

b) takes 24 hours to train HIP and another 24 hours for ADS so 2 days brings us to Saturday. factor another day for support and now we are into Sunday.

c) if mist works on weekends

If i am wrong then oh well idc i am bored at work and i am grateful for XIM's existence. that is all.

Two questions, what does "ST" stand for?

Will you be able to come up with a good way to handle the grenade and buff menus?
