Yes, the XIM2 will work.

XIM2 Trade-up is "confirmed," but no discount has been confirmed.

If you want a mouse-keyboard converter NOW, then buy a XIM2. If not, then wait.

It depends. Do you like the idea of paying a small fee for smart configs to take the guess work out of building a config and tweaking it until its perfect? I should also mention it's been confirmed that you can also build your own configs with xim3, you aren't forced to pay for smart configs. Do you like the idea of a pc-less solution removing compatibility issues with windows?

If you prefer a simple plug and play experience I'd suggest waiting another month or two for xim3.

Same...I will get the new xim 3, mainly to take with me to friends houses without having to lug all my @#$% around.

But my XIM 2 works great....xim 3 will work great too, hell who knows I may never touch my xim2 again, either way I will have one, and I will use wichever I prefer more :)
