I picked up a couple brand new on ebay recently, different auctions for around 10 each. However, as mentioned above CEX have them used (as in hardly ever used) after all, who played with move for more than 10 minutes?

I literally just picked one up from CEX here in the UK, cost was 6....

Brand new? Even if it was, that price tells me they're clearing stock, so I would reiterate on my advice to buy as many as you can while they are around. If they are extinct in Hong Kong and Japan - the two countries in the world you would expect to have stock - then that does not bode well.

Looking at the condition its in, its pretty much brand new, no marks scratches, or any type of wear.
Not brand new out of packet, but im pretty sure theres tons loads in CEX across the UK

Oh. Well I can walk into any EB here and pick one up second hand for $4 which is like 2 pounds. I'm talking about new stock:)

Yup good point. But when it comes to electronics with lots of crevasses and pourous surfaces I like to buy new:)

I think I probably will begin collecting second hand too. I'm going to build the mother of all stashes. I'll be a Nav hoarder.

Ok just an update. So I searched all over Japan, 4 biggest cities, all major and minor stores. All the Yobodashi's, BIC Cameras, Softmaps, all through Akihabara and Shinjuku. Nothing. It was a totally different story just 12 months ago. On Amazon Japan there was one guy selling them for about $100 US a piece. No thanks. Even then, he only had 9 left.

I went on eBay and found two sellers still selling at reasonable prices and cleared them out. Scored 12. I'm going to continue buying every last unit I can find. I want a freaking lifetime's supply of these things.

I think you have a serious problem...  What are you doing to your Navs that you need like 20 of them????  And lifetime supply?  What guarantee do you have that this controller will be supported on any other Sony console or XIM product going forward?

Stop the madness.

Ok well I'm slightly exaggerating / joking. I'll only really need a few for myself.

I plan on selling them at cost to friends and other people because I'm always recommending the XIM to basically anyone I come across so there will always be people in need.

Secondly, you're right I have no guarantees that it'll be supported by XIM in the future (Sony itself is not an issue if you know how XIM works), but I'm willing to take a chance. Firstly, I know with absolute certainty that the standard controller won't evolve much beyond what they are now, because most gamers will swear until they're black and blue that they're perfect for FPS games when they aren't. So there's no economic incentive to do so. Nintendo was laughed out of the room for trying (the Wii Remote was STUNNING for FPS games for anyone who gave it a chance). There's almost no innovation in the current set of controllers and the realist in me doesn't see this changing. So it's up to smaller companies like XIM to come up with alternatives...but will they? For a hundred bucks or so worth of "insurance" stock, it's worth it to protect my favourite hobby. There are certainly more expensive hobbies.

$100 of Navs is a lot of Navs lol.  I got a Move with a Nav controller for Christmas when it 1st came out.  It still works perfectly and the charge still lasts for like 6 or 7hrs.  Unless you are giving them to your dog as a toy, you should be ok with 2 or 3 at the absolute max.  You don't need 10 lol.  Save your money.

If your friends need them, let them buy their own lol.

I wonder, does the one on the right work with the XIM? I could use this for FIFA.
