[RESOLVED] Keyboard and mouse do not work

I am sure there is an answer to this and I think I have read them all but to no satisfaction. Here is my situation. I have just purchased a new Xbox 1 and am trying to hook up and play COD 111. I had my 360 on this Xim4 and it worked with no problems. I have followed all the videos to the letter. When I get into the game the controller works. When I try to use the mouse or keypad I can see the lights on the Xim change and I can see the Xim manger show me what keys or mouse actions I am doing but it will not work on the game. I am using the Xbox on a monitor not on a TV. I have used an android device to configure.

Things like this usually turn out to be a bad connection between your X1 controller and XIM4 where your controller is actually talking to your Xbox via wireless.

The suggestion is to try using a different cable between your controller and XIM4.

If I take the battery out of the controller I can play the game with the controller. So the connection between the controller and the XIM works. When I shake the mouse the XIM lights flash. When I move the mouse or touch the keyboard I can see the movement on the XIM manager.. Please stay with me on this. I would like to get it all to work. My 360 worked like a charm.

Did you just purchase your X1? Does the controller have an integrated headset jack?

No, that's not necessary. We support this new controller in our latest beta build, 20151120. Please update using the following links and instructions.

I know I took the easy way out. I went out and bought a different controller, one without the integrated headset and it worked like a charm. I am playing the game now with no problems.

well iv been having this same problem. just spend 70 bucks on new controller and it still only communicates with console... how are you suppose to know if you usb works or not anyways..

also i have to use wired mode and got my manager to communicate with the xim4. but the firmware just says it cant detect the xim4. even when my manager is pulled up and connected.. so the hell am i supoose to download firmware?

Well.... I could not leave well enough alone. I went out and bought a XBox headset adaptor for my old XBox one controller. When I plugged it in the keyboard and mouse quite working. So I downloaded the "2015" firmware and it did not make a difference. So I changed all back to old the old controller and but the old firmware back on and everything worked. Can I use the headset adaptor?

The expansion port support is bugged in the 1120 build at the moment for the new controllers. If your controller has the integrated headset jack then anything that uses the expansion port may not work such as the stereo adapter, chat adapter, stock headset. The integrated 3.5mm port should work. There are also reports that starting the XIM4 with the stereo adapter already attached and the headset hooked up may sometimes work using 1120 and the new controller.

We are expecting to have this fixed in a new build later this month.

Thanks. Another thing luckily I have a Nexus android device so I was able to connect my manager. I am an apple guy. There is no was I can get my ipad or iPhone to to connect to the XIM. I get a message that says not supported. I have tries to sync from the manager and and nothing works. I am playing the game using the Nexus so I am ok. Any thoughts on the apple stuff?

You mentioned downgrading to 1114 earlier, you will need to use the latest beta build, 20151120 for iOS support. After that you can use the iOS Manager in the apple store. Follow this guide for setup.

Thank you. I am using like I said the older Xbox one controller  with 2014 firmware. If I update to 2015 firmware will I still be able to use the older controller?
