ObsIV,

Is there any other change in this firmware compared to the alpha progressive delay fw?  I feel it smoother and like more responsiveness than before

Thanks and great work

Yes, this version of the firmware is a complete rewrite of the lower level USB com which is even more tight timing-wise than before. The prior firmware with progressive delay wasn't on that.

ObsIV always improving things.  Thank you.

Is this level you are talking the best can be achieved?

Is progressive delay enabled automatically? Or do I have to use a checkbox to use it.

It's enabled automatically in CoD configs.

So far the firmware works great. The only issue I run into is sometimes when the PS4 is put into rest mode. If I leave the power on on the USB, the xim will power down, then boot up and stay on. I am forced to unplug it.

This is expected (rest mode). Your PS4 is turning the ports back on to charge peripherals. You'll need to unplug your XIM4.

Is there a plan to fix this? I mean is there a way you can code the xim to detect if the console is on or in rest mode?

Not likely since the PS4 in rest mode actually talks to USB peripherals plugged into it as if the PS4 is awake. It may be doing this to support charging devices like the Move Nav given that the Nav won't charge unless the console is talking to it. But, we will keep looking at it to see what we can do.

There's an option under Power Saving or  whatever it's called where you can set the PS4 to not providing power to USB ports while in Rest Mode.  However, this option seems to be not working if the PS4 is downloading something with recent firmware updates or it may be an issue with the 12000 series of PS4's.

OK I have test the firmware with and without Titan One.  Here is my results

WIthout titan one No purple lights

With Titan One purple lights but not as bad as before.

Here is titan one settings

Speed Up Settings:

 - Inframe Out

Check if there is more data to send to Console within current USB frame. This setting helps improve performance and reduce input lag.

- Inframe In

Check if there is more data to receive from Controller within current USB frame. This setting helps improve performance and reduce input lag.

- 1ms Response

A response time of one millisecond is the fastest response time possible for USB devices. Disabling this option will make the device run at the original speed of the Console currently in use.

Now the infamous one is the 1ms Response which cause the purple light to pulse like crazy.

I disable all 3 settings, even though the purple light still happen its doesn't appear often like before.

So, why are you using your XIM4 with the Titan One? What do you hope to gain here?

Yes, this version of the firmware is a complete rewrite of the lower level USB com which is even more tight timing-wise than before. The prior firmware with progressive delay wasn't on that.

Two questions, what exactly do you mean by rewrite of the lower level USB com? Does this have anything to do with polling? Or are we still at 8ms?

Has STv2 been improved on further than the STv2 of previous builds?

I actually downgraded my firmware, it seems to happen when using the latest firmware smart v2 translator in destiny. Quite often the reticle jumps to the side of the head while in ads, I haven't tested if hip behaves similarly . This can be very frustrating if you like and prefer sniping most of the time. The smart v2 feels smooth and responsive, but I'll stick the old firmware. Can I hear your thoughts obsiv on this matter?

I haven't heard of issues like this. Did you get the same behavior with Steady Aim on?
