@ op- I suggest you read my long post on this page:
http://xim4.com/community/index.php?topic=41918.510In order to have good stats in this game 2 things are important:
a) beeing able to "read" the radar pretty well
b) understanding the core of the game
As to the radar- you should learn automatically while playing. Basically- any free areas on the radar where none of your teammates are should be treated as an area where an enemy could be. If you follow this strict rule, it will avoid you many deaths already.
to point b), it is important to know what the flinch mechanic in this game does, which by the way you cant counter anymore with a perk like "Toughness" in previous CODs.
The purpose of flinch mechanic is to cripple very skilled pubstompers who just run around with their SMGs/ARs and wreck ppl left and right. How does the flinch achieve that? Very simple- it makes gunfights a
trade 8-9 out of 10 times. Unless you see the enemy from behind/from the side and they dont see you. If the enemy sees you and isnt a complete morron, he will give you 1-2 hits due to the flinch mechanic and due to the weapon recoil and sway.
So if you killed the first guy, you will most likely be injured- now you might manage to kill the second guy in BO2, (which highly depends on the weapon you are using as well) but most of the time, the 3rd guy will kill you, simply because he is at 100% health and you are at 20-50% health. Not allways, but in most of the cases.
So what is important in this game is that you use the most effective and most consistent weapons with the fastest TTK and as low recoil and sway possible. It is not a noob move, it is just to combat all the BS in the game, which caters to bad players.
Another important thing is cover. YOu need to use cover to your advantage and position yourself, so that you can hide behind a statue for example if you need to reload etc. Avoid open areas to challenge 2-3 enemies- most of the time you will kill just 1 guy, at max. 2- which is not ideal. Challenge enemies when you know you can jump behind a wall if you get low health. That doesnt mean headglitching 24-7, just preaim certain lines of sight when you walk around the corner etc.
Another important factor is using Quickdraw attachment and the first pirk in 2nd tier, that lets you raise up the gun faster after sprinting. Those 2 things combined can give you an advantage of several hundreds of milliseconds in some situations, which will decide if you get the kill or the other guy.
Other than that, read the other post of mine and watch the video when its done uploading, which I will link in the BO3 thread.
