The joystick works with everything else. I checked it in a gamecube emulator, in windows, and in the sticks mapping software. Good everywhere but XIM. To make it more odd, it is only faulty when between 7 and 8 o'clock and when it's pushed +50% of total distance. I'll try messing with the dead zone. See what I get.

Again, thanks for the help. My set up has been simplified. I can now upgrade to windows 10 and pack away the old XIM controller.

ah I see. Yes, adjusting the deadzone would be the way to go. Good to hear your up and running. If you run into stability issues know that there are fixes to this coming soon.

Adjusting the dead zone didn't help. So odd that I have this issue with Xim4 only. Without any way to solve this issue I with have to make a physical fix.

Don't make any physical modifications just yet, which game is this happening in? Does it happen in other games?

Oh, ok. There are a couple of games that have movement restrictions on the left stick right now. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't that before you made went further. We actually have a refresh of Commander coming out soon. If you're not in a hurry you could wait for that before modifying you joystick.

The arcade controller is a custom build. I'll just add a restrictor plate for now. Nothing that can't be undone.

Quick question... can I use something other than PrtScn to toggle commander on and off? My keyboard requires I hold a "function" key to use the PrtScn button. Small hassle when setting up new profiles.

hmm I don't know. Check the documentation in the download file. You can look over the commander section too.
