Keypads with REAL analog sticks?
« on: 05:49 AM - 08/10/15 »
Hi guys,

there are keypads like the Razer Orbweaver with a analog stick, but I've read that these aren't "real" analogsticks because it just has eight buttons in it and works more like a D-pad than a analog stick.

My questions is, are there any keypads, preferrably with mechanical switches, that have a real analog stick that is being emulated as a separate joystick/controller?
That would be awesome, but I'm not sure if that's technically even possible, I mean it would be, but I'm not sure about the compatibility with PC games or the XIM4.

At least for GTA5 on PC it works, when I drive a car with the left analog stick and shoot with the mouse.

Orbweaver is the only mechanical keypad (without mods).

I believe the G13 has analog. However, a lot of people still mod it because of placement and a not-so-awesome joystick.

Tuffrabits upcoming device :)

Hoping it works out. I know he ran into some issues. If it does happen I'll be one of the first in line to purchase.

All my designer contacts have fallen through.  I'm at the point where I'm going to try it myself again.  I have better ideas this time around.

If this work's AND is available with MX-Red switches, I'm gonna buy the s**t out of this!

Is there any progress? I mean can you already calculate when your first revision is ready?

I thought about modding a G13 with mechanical switches, some people have done this but it really seems like a pain in the a** and my soldering tools are pretty bad and I'm a pretty shaky person, I'm almost shaking as much as my 78 year old grandmother..

If everything goes according to plan I hope to have 8ish prototypes ready in a month or two.

How about giving my g700s a mod try-I'd like six mechanical buttons on the left side like the razed naga hex.

Six mech side button in a g700s body= heaven
