XIM4 Manager Freezes with /commander Flag

Every time I start up XIM4 Manager (20150606),  I get to the spinning loading screen. After a moment, XIM4 Manager freezes, and I must restart the program.

My XIM4 is plugged in with an Easy Transfer Cable in port 1. I'm also on Windows 10.

im not much familiar with windows10 so cannot comment on if XC works with it or not, but havent read anything yet that proves to be not i i think

is your target path correct? can you copy it?

also are both lights on the transfer cable shining and do you get a notification on the desktop?

also try to use a different usb port for the transfer cable on the xim, eg port 2

The path is correct. XIM Manager opens in commander mode. The path is "<path to manager.exe" /commander

Both lights do show up, and I get a notification.

I tried port 2, and the XIM Manager still freezes on start up.

I don't know enough about Commanders current state (rough?) or common issues/solutions to offer assistance but I was curious if it works with the latest stable build, 20141114?

Not sure. I never tried with with that version. Will the XIM downgrade from a newer version?

Yes but it will wipe your device. You will need to restore to factory default with the older build.

Ok, I finally had a chance to try out with 20141114. The Manager in Commander Mode still freezes and stops responding. I had to fully reinstall Windows 10, so there shouldn't be any other software interfering.

what does it say?


also do not use a 2014 firmware, only use the latest one with the xim commander
there has been a change lately so im not sure if the old firmwares work with commander

I am currently on 20150716 (Mgr and Firmware), Win x64, with Belkin transfer cable and I'm experiencing the same issue.

are you sure the path is correct?
cause the error your XIM Commander shows is pretty much the error when the path is wrong

Yeah the path is correct. Even if I run XIM4 Manager.exe from command line with the /commander switch it does the same. I am using it in offline mode though (no bluetooth capability on my machine currently).
