play with what you feel comfortable with, theres not much gain in using the g502 over the g402 in terms or raw specs :)

I just bought G502 because my old mouse did not have high enough DPI for XIM4 and while I love the smoothness of it and using it on the XIM4 there is one big drawback for me and maybe someone can help.

I have fairly big fingers/thumbs and the mouse feels comfortable, however it seems I am not really able to use the left side forward/back buttons while gaming.  The reason is easy - I grip down on the mouse and so my thumb slides down while in the heat of a battle and accidentally presses the buttons when I don't want and there goes my melee knife in Destiny off into nowhere.

My previous mouse had a button higher than the thumb (G5) and it was no problem but these buttons below the thumb are bumming me out.

Any suggestions?

thanks

i think you just need to adjust to the new mouse shape, after all the time you spent with the old one it just might feel odd at first

How is the g402 for Finger grip players?   We are in the minority, but we exist! Lol!

I loved my g400s, but it is discontinued and I will be in the market for a replacement soon and was looking for a mouse with some extra buttons for either my actual fingers (not thumbs) and the g402 has two buttons that the g400s does not

I just bought the Logitech G402 because it's on sale at newegg for $39.95. I'll test it out and see how it feels.

I'm currently using a SS Sensei Raw (claw grip), but the mouse 1 button is getting worn out.

Here's the link for newegg:
