Thrust jumps confirmed for Black Ops 3

I like AW but am getting tried of it pretty fast. I just dont want this type gameplay in all COD's. If they go this route on BO3 then its pretty obvious they are not looking back. I know it will seem slow at first without it but a traditional shooter would be nice.

I think you'll see one come back at some point once the novelty of the boosting wears off.

The thrusters in Black ops 3 work like the thrust jump in Destiny. When you thrust jump in BO3 you slowly hover in the air and you can control which way you want to move (like in Destiny). Not sure if this was already mentioned but there will also be wall running like in titanfall but less powerful (you can only run on a wall for 2 or 3 seconds before you fall off. There will also be a thrust slide (like AW but further) and i think there is going to be a side roll. Again sorry if this was already posted i didnt feel like reading all 3 pages.

Like others have said, I didn't mind the movement in AW, it was the console connection for me that had me mad. My shots were always behind what I was seeing in killcam.  It wasn't like that on PC, but I moved over to x1 because the player base was larger.. Here's hoping blops3 will have better hit registration/connection

I have to say with the hotfix that came before the latest patch they improved netcode a lot. I'm actually getting some enjoyment out of Advanced Warfare, having gone through an entire prestige last weekend. Though, it is still full of bad design. So what it did was restore some faith in COD but it just made me wish BLOPs 3 was out already.

This pains me... I actually love CoD and the thruth is, just like Batman Dobbins says, you need to stick it up to Activision to force them to create better content, because now they're so desperate that they're trying to make a Titanfall/Destiny rip-off.

I wonder if they will ever realize that they need to go back to he drawing board and reinvent the IP with a new engine a new storyline...

Going back to the old way will feel too slow. IMO.

Then go play Titanfall, they stole their model and ruined cod with it.

I would have kept playing Titanfall if:

-they had a decent look mechanic
-increased the look speed
-it didn't dip below 60 fps constantly
-they removed the bots
-offered private matches
-had more than 3 guns

But thats a lot of IFs. The game was totally broken on console IMO... but the player movement was the coolest part.

It was how it seemed that you were gimping yourself if you didn't use the AR that got to me the most. It just made the game boring to me so I finally quit.

That and the auto-locking pistol. I don't care how it wasn't game-breaking, the fact one existed in a FPS is just beyond asinine to me.

I did eventually go back and play a few rounds after a couple patches but by that point it just wasn't enough to keep me interested. While I loved the movement, the game itself just bored me quickly.
