Hard to say until I play the game, it was pretty much my setup for the beta though. But I've seen things change between beta and release look mechanics before.

Hi RML,

I checked your setup and video but want to ask you regarding:

Quote
Thanks to the NEW "Config Deactivation" keys that OBsIV created for ADS toggle, we can now easily dismount the Sparrow and deactivate the Sparrow config, without help from LGS. All you need to do is assign a deactivation key, then assign the same key to the reload button under secondary button bindings.

Does this mean that I set Sparrow activation key to (R)-button which is reload for me and deactivation key to (R) also in the Sparrow subconfig?
And then setting (R) button in the HIP Primary / Secondary config?

Sry guys, been really busy last few days haven't had much fun time. In regards to the questions about Sparrow.

I prefer using a macro for Sparrow so that you can Summon, Mount and activate the config with a single button press. But, you don't have to. You can use any button you chose to activate the Sparrow config. However you'll have to Summon, Mount and then activate your Sparrow config while on the Sparrow. Also, make sure you check the Toggle box for your Sparrow config so that you don't have to hold down the activation key while riding it.

As far a dismounting the Sparrow goes, it's really simple guys. Pressing the reload button while on the Sparrow will cause a dismount. So all you have to do is add the reload button to your deactivation keys within the Sparrow config. This will then cause you to dismount and simultaneously deactivate the Sparrow config putting you back in Hip.

You DONOT want to use any other button to dismount the Sparrow unless you also add that button to the deactivation keys. Otherwise you will dismount and still be using the Sparrow config while on foot.

The only buttons that will cause a dismount is Reload and Jump. I prefer to use reload so that I'm not jumping off the Sparrow. So I also change my button layout and remove jump from the Sparrow config so that I can't accidently push it and dismount without deactivating the Sparrow config. I use RC on the mouse to Jump because I'm a NAV user. So for Sparrow instead of assigning A (jump) to RC, I assign Turn Assist to RC which makes riding the Sparrow even easier and more enjoyable IMO.

I've added a Full config Copy/Paste code to the OP. So you can now easily paste my whole setup and modify the button layouts to your liking.

Cheers!   :)

hey! im sorry but this entire post is EXTREMELY confusing. What am i supposed to paste in my cfg? Just the first curve? Or like make a profile for every single curves (sparrow, sprint etc..)?

I want to play D2 with the xim4 but it seems very hard and confusing

Advanced Settings can be confusing until you get used to playing around with it. I would suggest you make Two Destiny configs. The one you have now and then create a brand new one from the games library. Then take my whole setup code and paste it into your new Destiny config. This will give you everything I'm currently using, all curves, sub configs, button layouts, etc. Then just rummage through my setup and reassign buttons to your liking.

For info on how to copy/paste an entire setup. Click on the link in my signature to Advanced Settings. Then find the video that walks you through it.

Btw... not everyone enjoys using Advanced Settings. You can play without them and just crank up your sensitivities. It's not as enjoyable IMO, but it can be done.

So do i just copy/paste the first code you posted? Do i need to make ads, sparrow profiles?

Used his setup last night and enjoyed it. Not perfect but way more than enough until an official one comes out, in case that one is better.

You should create a new profile and then add the Hip, ADS and Sprint configurations. Definitely all needed.

Thanks for the Sparrow info RML.
I tried your setup last night and most of the things feel nice except for the Sprint turn speed, I can't seem to find a comfortable setting.

When I hold down Sprint (LShift) the sensitivity increases a lot and the movement feels great at this time but when I return to HIP the sensitivity decreases a lot which makes it difficult to aim properly.
Haven't found any nice balance to make the Sprint > HIP transition smoother :(

if you find a nice balance let me know, i've been having similar troubles striking a good balance, so i've taken to just not sprinting in situations ill need to turn heavily

It takes time to get used to. Keep fine tuning your HIP sens as best you can to meet your needs. Of course the Turn speed cap isn't the greatest, but it's do able.

Also, make sure you have 200ms delay for sprint. It helps with the transition to Sprint, less jitter.

I will be working on a new setup over the weekend. I haven't even played D2 yet.
