I'm new to the keyboard and Mouse world so my appolgies if this is a bad question. Everything I hear is aim assist is bad for mouse and KB play.if that is correct I should use weapons with low aim assist to help counter its affect. By doing this I would have to have a less aggressive curse to battle aim assist.

Or is aim assist overall a good thing and helps me while I try to work against it in some areas?

Everyone has their preferences. Typically people that like my setups prefer a little less Aim Assist. We want some, because it does keep you from over aiming. But too much can often create a bubble feel around the targets hit box. I always try to balance it out.

I would suggest you make two setups for Destiny. One with Vanilla ST's (no curves) and another with my curves. See for yourself which works best for you.

Thanks for the advice! I ran a few trials cards last night and my crit% with the sniper was a little less with the curve with the Tao. I will try it again with a vanilla st and see if that feels different.

Yes, run the firmware for the build the you're currently on and then chose to backup your configs. You can then save them before down grading. You will have to do a factory reset though when down grading. So you'll have to rebuild all your configs on the old firmware. That's why I added all the codes though, to try and help make that process less painful.

Do you think we could get the STv2 retrained for Destiny? Playing with it just feels off compared to STv1. I can't go back because I swapped my Android phone for an iPhone.

I think the best we can hope is for OBsIV to fix Steady Aim and make it behave like STv1. That's his focus now, so we shall see soon I hope.

We need to make sure we voice our opinions though and help him get it right. Because STv1 isn't making a comeback, it's on it's way to la la land. Steady Aim is our only hope beyond XIM4 and now for IOS support and many other nice features.

I really want to try STv1 to put in my 2cents, but I have like 4-5 active games I play using the XIM and am too lazy to re-set all my configurations....but we'll see...maybe I'll just revert, try some destiny, and decide from there.

It is nice I can back-up my current set-up before doing it.

Yeah, going back to STv2 is easy. Going to Stv1, not so easy.  :(

Hey guys, unfortunately my time has run out (for gaming). I'll be back at it probably around the beginning of July.

I'll leave you with this RAW curve for ADS and a suggestion on managing Aim Assist. I also believe OBsIV is going to take a second look at Steady Aim and see if anything can be done to insure it's behaving as STv1 would.

My Suggestion ...

- Try to push yourself to play at the highest sensitivity that you can control and with as high of DPI as you can. My personal preference for DPI and this game is still 8000, beyond that and it gets too Jittery for me. My testing has proven to me that High sens and high DPI do help combat AA. Unfortunately it can change the overall feel of the game and may push you a little out of your comfort zone. But remember the ability to control fast turns isn't only going to help combat AA it is also what really separates us from the controller users and the faster your movement is the greater the advantage you will have against them.

Here's the curve, sry I didn't have more time to spend with this as I was running other test. But this felt better to me then my prior curve. I also tried thepRo's curve and although it wasn't aggressive enough for me, I would suggest that others give it a go. You never know until you try.

Add as much Sens to this as you can control and see how it works for you.

ADS:
Code: [Select]
>>> XIM4 [Mouse Ballistics] START PASTE >>>
X4MB:AAAAGgA0AC4AMAAwAC4AMgAwADEANgAwADQAMAA1ABs2UWyBjJOaoaeutLvByMjIyMjI:X4MB
<<< XIM4 END PASTE <<<

One last note, the only other thing I changed was with HIP. I kept the curve but eliminated the boost and turned Steady Aim off. Everything else felt fine to me.

Cheers!

Anyone in this thread who uses the new ADS curve and give some input? Also, a photo or screenshot of it would be awesome, to get a better idea of what has changed!

Thanks

Unfortunately that curve feels no where near as good as STv1 does with my old curve.

Hey RML,

First of all this setup freakin rocks! I just have one question regarding the hip and ads mouse speed. For my plays type it's a bit slow and I find myself lifting the mouse a lot to play.
Would you recommend I raise the mouse sensitivity? Or should raise the dpi and report rate, which I currently have setup at 8000/500 for my Logitech g502 proteus spectrum.

Thanks again!

What is your HIP and ADS sens? Im at 6000dpi , 500 polling. My sens is 15 hip and 10 ads. That's plenty speed for me. Did you max your in game sens?

My HIP is at 70 and my ADS is at 40 with DPI at 8000 and Report Rate at 500. This feels pretty slow for me still though. I also have the settings set to 10 (max) in game with Auto Aim Assist.

My question is, to make my Hip and ADS move faster with out the jitteriness what settings should I change? sensitivity of mouse on IOS XIM4 Manager app? Or should I raise my DPI and or Report Rate for mouse onboard memory?

I appreciate your response by the way. Hope you or anyone might be able to help me out. Would like to try and go FLAWLESS in Trials for my first time. http://xim3.com/community/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif
