Can someone refresh me as to how we pair the NAV and XiM?

Hello Leotigano,

Just curious, are you using this setup on 1114 manager, or are you using something else?

I did play a little Destiny with the latest firmware/manager and I didn't really feel a noticeable difference. Maybe just a little more jittery, hard to say TBH. One thing you DON'T want to do is use Steady Aim with Destiny. It makes Aim Assist ridiculously strong!

No I'm on the previous RC. I haven't done the update yet.

What!!?? Your still playing with a wired NAV?  :o

Thanks for all the work in this post, it's really helped me get up to speed on the XIM and all the customization and settings needed to get a 'good' feel for my setup.  RML, I'm glad you've taken the initiative to write out all that's necessary to get things working, and for sticking with the thread (even when you're not playing Destiny) to help new users out.

I registered my account to say thanks, and may well contribute more in the future as I learn more about what settings I like and dislike with the XIM.

Now, to update the firmware and manager when I get home!

I appreciate you taking the time to register and comment in this thread. It is individuals like you that remind me why I took the time to do this in the first place. I look forward to your contributions in the future.  :)

Hi RML! Thanks for your reply!

I am running this setup on 1114 manager, but I got the codes a couple of months ago, before some new firmware releases.

Then I was looking for some sniping setups for better accuracy and I realised I am not using the latest firmware. Actually minr is very old! Kkk

But as soon as I had no problems, i am not sure if it is worth to update and lose my configs.
I just play Destiny on my XIM4 and for that reason I was asking if someone who also plays a lot Destiny has found some benefits on the latest firmware.

But if its more jittery it doesnt sound a good.idea to update my 1114 manager though.

What do you reccomend?

Thanks !!

Has to be wired for boot up, then just unplug the NAV and it will connect.

It really comes down to what you want from your XIM4. There are quite a few new features with the latest manager that yours doesn't have. However, if none of them mean anything to you then why upgrade. I always upgrade because I'm pretty active in this community and I like to stay on top of things. I also like to test out new features and give feedback. So it's just up to your personal preference.

I thought exactly the same, a little more jittery. However I bumped my polling from 500 back up to 1000 on my mouse for the 1120 fw and it was so much smoother. I went back to the previous because I thought it was "too smooth" and tried that on 500 and 1000, but have kept 1120 at 1000 mouse polling and, once I got used to it, like it quite a bit. To note I'm using a Razer mouse at 8200dpi @1000. ALSO, I must thank you so much for this setup. I also got xim4 specifically for destiny (initially) and this amazing thread taught me all about curves and proper mouse tweaks and now I tweak all my setups. Thank you kindly for your time and effort, it's made fun more fun.

I don't understand the keystrokes in LGS for the 1 button macros; num 0, num 8 etc....can you explain what i'm pressing to set this up?

Num 0 and Num 8 are the numbers on the right side of the KB. I'd explain further but I don't have the time right now sry.

In your mapping setup, num 0/num 8 etc. are mapped to buttons that need to be pressed in combination to get the desired result.

For example, if 'num 0' is mapped to 'Y', your 'heavy weapon' macro would have "↓ num 0, 1.8s delay, ↑ num 0" to simulate pressing the button, holding it for 1.8 seconds (or 1800 ms), and then releasing.

To go to orbit, you would need to know the mapping of the select button and the y button.
So if 'select' was 'num 7' and 'Y' was 'num 0', the 'go to orbit' macro would have "↓ num 7, 0.08s delay, ↑ num 7, 0.5s delay, ↓ num 0, 3.8s delay, ↑ num 0"

The number keys can be mapped to the secondary tab so that you can still use them with mouse buttons on your primary tab (or vice versa) (comes in handy if you're programming macros on a G13).

Does that make sense?

Is there any tool to convert this new code you pasted to code for old fw?

There must have been a change in BC coding from 0816 to 1120,because when I upgraded to 1120 but still using the 0816 BC that was on there before the upgrade, my aim was really off. I was going negative for a few games. I mean really negative. I was like @#$% is going on? Took a thorough look at my config and went back to this thread to see if anything changed or if I missed something. Then I noticed you updated the BC code to 1120. So I decided to copy and paste it onto my current config. I don't know if that had anything to do with it but my previous games have been 2.0+ KD since. I did notice it just felt smoother for some reason compared to the previous 0816 curve with the 1120 firmware. That 0816 curve on the 1120 firmware was making my aiming go all over the place, but now with the 1120 curve and firmware I actually have better control. Weird? I know its not placebo for sure because of how aiming felt between the two.

Why do you have sprint and jump bind to one button/key?

For some reason, I cannot copy/paste the ADS from page 1 into my settings. I installed the new firmware and had to recreate my stuff.. I did copy/paste for the Hip setting fine (Android), but ADS will not paste.. or maybe it does, but the curve does not change at all (stays the same default).

I cannot find my bluetooth adapter for my PC, so I am stuck to Android LOL.

Edit:

Nevermind.. somehow the pastes worked this time and I am having some fun tweaking the settings again! :)
