Hey thanks for the configuration. I have a question which seems to be bothering me when i'm playing with your configs, I don't know if it's because I just need to adjust it or what not.

My Hip sensitivity seems to be crazy low. I have to pretty much pick up my mouse twice just to do a full 180 turn. At best my turns are maybe 45 degrees at best, moving the mouse 3 inchs. Adjusting the sensitivity doesn't do much with this as it just makes my precision bad, and it still doesn't turn that well.

How can I fix this issue? Is it possible to get something close to FPS on a PC? I'm not use to having to pick up my mouse to make turns.

You should be able to do a 360 easily with this setup without picking up your mouse. What kind of mouse are you using and at what dpi?

Is in game sensitivity set to 10?

Razer Naga, I think it's 5200 dpi. It's basically a spare mouse. Could the low dpi be the reason?

Some mice don't save dpi settings, so make sure you're in fact at your max of 5200. If you are at 5200 dpi then your HIP sensitivity should be set to 38.46 if you want to match my hip sens. Also, don't forget to add 500 Boost.

Oh weird, you said for your settings I should set them to 38.2. But when I was playing around with the mouse settings yesterday I set it up all the way to 300. I'm able to turn fully now, slightly sensitive it's not something I couldn't get use too.

Another question I have is, I notice a little bit of shutter on the horizontal mouse movement (looking left to right). This is normal for the xim4? It's not too big of a deal but it doesn't feel as smooth as playing on a PC.

I read this in your OP

Here's an example of how to match my sensitivity's If you're using a different DPI then I am.
Your DPI 12000 / my DPI 8000 = 1.5
Your HIP sens / 1.5 = My Hip sens
Your ADS sens / 1.5 = My ADS sens

I'm pretty terrible with figures, can you clarify the calculations?

I have an 8200 DPI mouse, so 1.025 the sensitivity of yours? So to match your hip sensitivity (listed as 25 if I understand your OP correctly) to my mouse for example would be a hip sensitivity of 25.625 (rounded to 25.6)?

Also, just wanted to say awesome post. Very thorough and informative, nice work.

You should never have to raise your sensitivity that high at 5200 DPI. That shuttering effect you feel is probably you instantaneously exceeding the turn cap. Try a lower sens with slower consistent mouse swipes. With XIM slow steady movement is best. I still wonder if your mouse is holding that dpi though.

Use this link to calculate your DPI -  http://www.users.on.net/~frankros/DPI-calc.php

your HIP should be 24.39 @ 8200 dpi.  ;)

Thanks for keeping this up to date RML!  Unfortunately I haven't upgraded to 8/16/15 firmware yet because of losing wireless Nav.  Hope they fix that soon so I can actually be an RC tester LOL.

Thanks for sharing your setup!  The only change I had to make was to ADS,  I had to move it to 11.  Now it's perfect for me.  Thanks again!

FIrst off, I just got my Xim4 3 days ago so I'm pretty new at all of this.

I followed your guide and was able to setup hip and ads no problem, everything feels great after some minor sens tweaks for my liking.

The issue im having is setting up the run subclass, I set everything up but it just seems not to be working.  I noticed there is no hold tab on my manager.  Is this what could be causing this? Seems like the toggle wasnt working either.

Im on latest firmware and manager, has there been a new manager update since this tutorial has been updated?  Im confused because there is some things that are different on my manager than your screenshots.

I just updated practically EVERYTHING in the OP. I found some button assignment issues that I missed somewhere along the line with all the updates I've made to this thread.

I tested everything out just now and everything works perfectly. It sounds like you were a victim of the button error I discovered. Copy/Paste whatever codes you were having issues with i.e. Sparrow and see if it works now.

All - please let me know if I missed anything, the pics should all match my layout and the codes as well now.

Peace!
