the autoaim completely changing your sensitivity when near a target is a huge hassle in destiny, i'm trying to overcome that at the moment
thanks for the unique ballistics curve for ADS, i never would have thought to use that

on of these days i'll set up custom running and vehicle curves but i'm too lazy

.....also has anyone else noticed the xim4 acting badly since the house of wolves release? i occasionally lose control and my character will just spin in place, i have to completely reset the xim4 and re-plug my KBM to make it work

No problems on my end. Have you tried another controller to see if the joystick is acting up?

As far as the Aim assist goes, Yes, it's pretty severe at times within close quarters. It's pretty much like that with every game using aim assist, it's just that Destiny has higher then (what I would call) normal aim assist applied to this game. You can combat this more by adjusting my ADS curve. But it will make mid to long range aiming more difficult. If you increase my curve though and then add another config to the fire button it could help. For example, copy your ADS config but use no curve and a lower sensitivity and activate it with left click. This can help you stay on targets when using higher sensitivities while in ADS. It works by allowing you to aggressively follow the target and then slowing your aim when you fire. This method really only works for continuous fire though, so it's pretty much a No Go with snipers and hand cannons.

As far as the "acting badly" goes, I believe what you're experiencing is increased LAG. I've noticed it to lately. I believe the reason why is two fold.
- Possibly less player base
- More game modes, The player base is spread out all over the place so we're probably getting paired with other gamers that, maybe, wasn't the case a while back. The new DLC obviously would impact the player base we have to chose from, get my drift?  ;)

Ok, so that's my "acting badly" Lol..

After reading your response again, I believe your issue sounds like a possible wire short. I've never experienced this with XIM4. But back in the day of XIME I had that problem. Turned out to be the wire connecting my XIME to the console had a short. What was happening to me was the short would cause the XIM to lose communication for a split second which caused my NAV and mouse to drop out. So my character would just spin whatever direction I was heading when the communication dropped.

Hey Guys new user here got the XIM specifically for Destiny.  I am really interested in using these settings but I cannot figure out how to adjust the ballistic curves or copy the code from these forums into the app on my phone.  I tried using just the other settings with the default curve and it doesn't feel right.

Mainly looking to use the XIM for PVP'ing as I am awful with a controller.

P.s. I am using it with the Logitech G502 mouse that everyone seems to recommend.  Polling set to 1000 and DPI to max.

Any help would be great.  Thanks!

I will have to check the firmware when I get home.  But the phone is a Galaxy S4.

Ok, I'm sure there are several people with that phone around that could help if needed. If you're using the latest firmware and manager, which I believe to be 5/25/15, then it won't work with any of the posted curves right now in the forum. They changed the code with the latest build in order to add some new features. My curves are setup with the 2/12/15 firmware and manager.

First of all thank you for your helpful post. I'm a new Xim4 user (for mainly for Destiny) and I was lost about how to configure my Xim for this game. I have 1 question. In you initial post you said that we must  have a keyboard plugged in the XIM. I want to use the PS NAV controller. So how do I setup my Xim if I have the keyboard in place of the PS NAV controller?

Thank in advance!

Ok, cool, so the curves will work for you. Make sure you click on the "select" box above the code. That should highlight everything that you need to copy/paste.

If you're having other problems, such as how to copy/paste with your particular phone, then let us know and maybe someone here can help further.

First of all, you're welcome.  :)

If you're using your NAV wired then you will need a usb hub. Simply plug your NAV and KB into the hub and then plug the hub into slot TWO of the XIM4. I would recommend this method for all NAV users as KB are very useful for changing your game configs (primary's). They are also very useful for setting up multi-key functions like I did with Destiny.

If you're using your NAV Wirelessly. Once the NAV is paired with your XIM4, unplug the XIM4 from your console, then plug the KB into slot TWO and plug the XIM4 back into the console. Done!

Thanks RML! This is working great except maybe it's just me but when I am using a sniper secondary it is very difficult to move the mouse as the target is moving. I know hitting a moving target is difficult but I think it's the most difficult I've experienced in a shooter. I was wondering if I should try to up the sensitivity. How do you fare while using a sniper in Destiny? I use a shortgaze scope. Thanks.

^ It's not just you.  ;)

As others have stated it's the INSANE amount of aim assist applied to this games look mechanic. Your question got me thinking though. Maybe a setup like I suggested a few post back (for another member who was struggling with aim assist) would actually work well for you too. I described how to assign a sub-config to the fire button that would slow your sensitivity down so that you don't over shoot your target. I know this is the opposite of what you're looking for. But, what I'm thinking here is, that if you up your sensitivity enough to help track targets while sniping then your sensitivity may be a little too high while using other guns, like auto rifles. So, this would (in theory) allow you to use a higher sensitivity while sniping without constantly over shooting targets while not sniping.

Your only other options that I can think of are:
- Raise the sens and just deal with it and try to adapt to a possible over shooting issue with other weapons.
- Make another Primary config. just for the sniper. Then you would be able to use a higher sens with snipers without affecting your other guns. Of course this means you would have to have a config activation key "at the ready" because you would be switching between configs every time you use a sniper rifle. As a NAV user this method is difficult for me, but if you use a keyboard you should have plenty of buttons to spare.

You have caught my attention, what hub do you recommend and also, what are some useful things I could do with a keyboard setup? My current setup is

Sony Nav
G502 (I also have the G602 and G700)

So I am on

Manager Version: 4.00.20141114
Firmware Version: 4.00.20141114

^ I personally use the KB for changing and cycling Primary configs. so I don't have to waste buttons on my NAV or mouse. I also use it for multi-key functions (as previously stated). While I don't physically have to push a button on the KB to perform this task. I believe it needs to be connected to the XIM4 so that it can recognize certain keystrokes that I would assign to my mouse in LGS.

I've used this usb hub for several years now without a hitch - http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-USB-2-0-4-Port-Ultra-Mini/dp/B000Q8UAWY/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1433338251&sr=1-2&keywords=belkin+usb+hub

Others like to use Powered usb hubs, because their peripherals draw a lot of power that can cause communication drops. A powered hub can resolve that issue. I can't recommend one but I know there are several threads on the subject if you search for "Usb hub" or "powered usb hub".

FYI, I updated the OP with ballistic codes for both "Old Firmware" and "New Firmware."
