Your enthusiasm is great, but everyone's a little different so don't count your chickens just yet.  ;)

Based off of what you described, both of these curves could and should be helpful. But the XIM was intended to be used without ballistics. Ballistics are here because of Anal gamers like us that want to fine tweak everything to our own liking. That being said, XIM can't account for aim assist. That's why these curves were made, for the most part. Some people though, really like sticky aim, so you never know.

And yes, I would suggest you leave aim assist [ON], some assist is a good thing for most people.

I hear ya RML! but this is the post i have been waiting for. This will allow me to try some curves based on the specific game i love, CoD AW. I am a old school PC gamer and this will serve as a hearty medium to tweek to my individual playstyle. Greatly appreciated! now lets see those Curves, hips, and ADS guys!

Hi, i test the aim assist ballistic curve of bf4, in bf hardline... but i dont think it feels great enough.. are u working on a ballistic curve for hardline?, the aim assist it's really strong..
U can t aim at certain distance,  if u trying to be aggressive, when u engage at 2 meters, 4 example..the ads stuck. So i tried to increase the ads , but the aim if it's too responsive it get a huge acceleration. . That sometimes ignore the enemy and pass over him..

The curve is setup for "Normal encounters," by this, I mean your basic scenarios for the majority of your kills, say 10-100 yards. You would have to turn your sensitivity up higher to compensate for the massive amount of sticky aim at very close (in your face) distance. However, the problem is as you stated, then you tend to overcompensate at other ranges and the farther the worse it will be. In BF4 you could somewhat make up for this with the advanced aim settings, Hardline doesn't have that option. I would suggest you set your sensitivity as high as you can deal with in order to still be accurate at 50-100 yards. The higher it is the more it will help with close encounters and multiple targets. If you watched my video's you will see I still get quite a few close range head shots even with my relatively low sensitivities. The key is really in discipline, learn where head level is at close range and keep your crosshairs up in anticipation.

I will post Hardline Curves when I'm done tweaking, probably won't be a lot different then BF4 though as the concept is the same, to fight sticky aim. I currently have three different Hardline configs I'm testing. One with Hip and ADS ballistics, another with only HIP, ADS deactivated, this actually worked better then I thought it would, kind of surprised me. I'm also trying ADS boost with a third Config. this is touchy and very slow going. Then, I'm also grinding away trying to unlock the Knockout! The grind is real! :P

ok thx, i appreciate the answer, but when i saw your video, i noticed that u use like a short range dot. Right??? Cause i play with 8x or 6x. Can u explain me a thing pls, the xim try to reproduce the 1;1 move like pc right?
But on pc, u use low dpi with low sens, why with xim u have to put high dpi?

- I use the 3.4 scope, mostly because I like the reticle. I use the straight line across the scope to separate their head from their body. It works really well for medium to long range, put that line right across their shoulders and BAM, Headshot! I don't like the zoom to be any higher then 4x's. When you get higher then 4 your aim starts to sway and I don't have time for holding my breath.  ;)

- With PC's low dpi is sufficient as the computer does the rest of the work. With XIM4 your movements are interpolated. So the higher the dpi, the less interpolation it has to do, which means you will have more of that 1:1 feeling. IMO, you should use at least 1800 dpi in order to get the smoothest movements with XIM4, although my sweet spot seems to be around 8000 (depending on the mouse).

Hope that helps.

RML - I noticed you use the same set up as i do...g502, nav, etc. Do you noticed any issues when playing as a sword bearer in the Raid? I noticed my swings feel heavy and like the stick when sword goes down...So far i can only get 2 slams per kneel.

is there a curve that will allow me to have smooth movements when i am turning slower but still have the ability to play at a high sensitivity (if that makes sense) or is that just a pipe dream??

Try using something like this - Credit goes to Aiken_Drum!

Code: [Select]
>>> XIM4 START Paste >>>
X4MB:0003070C1219212A343F4A56626E7A8794A1AEBBC8
<<< XIM4 END   Paste <<<

You'll have to up your sensitivity to make up for the negative acceleration, but it should help you with smoother smaller movements.
