[ACTIVE] XIM4 wont respond to keyboard or mouse now  (Read 3372 times)

I emailed last night and they sent me a email asking if there was damage to the C usb port.  I emailed back I see none and that the port seems solid cant move it, but you have to move the cable to get power now and even tho you can connect with bluetooth and its shows the keyboard and mouse are there and they get power no movement when you use keyboard or move mouse. I have tried 3 cables all the same so its not the cable.  Unit also goes into blue pc connect mode, but pc software says it cant connect.  Very frustrated as I have clan matches tomorrow.

Mic and headset still work thru xim also.  I had to upgrade firmware when i first got it 4 weeks ago to make this work.  Was working great and then just started in and out like a week ago and just gave up.

If you have to move the cable into a certain position on port C in order to get power from the console to the XIM4, then that does sound like your port is damaged or defective.

I can't authorize a return/exchange, as that is OBsIV's call alone.  However, I do believe OBsIV will suggest starting an RMA.  Can you confirm the following?

- The power loss is caused/fixed by wiggling the connector in port C.
- The power loss is entire, e.g. the XIM4 itself has no power and no LEDs.

yes if you completely center the usb power goes out. It wants pressure up and to the right to come on.  Funny thing is it doesn't really move once its in there so thinking something is loose inside.  Thanks for the reply.

Was it always like this, or, did something happen physically to the device that caused it? If you believe your micro-USB port is damaged, it can be replaced. You should open an RMA from your store account (click on your order). They will provide instructions as to how to send it back in for repair.

Really? I opened an RMA.  I posted here and in another post asking about the process, because I was asked the same question 3 times even after I put in the email and the post there is no damage to the unit and the port is fine and doesn't wiggle or seem damaged.  http://xim4.com/community/index.php?topic=39366.msg493003#msg493003, this is the other post.

Hi, We received your RMA. Is there any damage to the usb port? This port is very sensitive, if the cord was pushed a little too hard into the port, damage may have occurred.  Nicole

Ok so apparently the email was auto-generated.  The part of the email was cut off on my phone and i had to click my case to answer.  Hopefully this will help.

Okay.  Turnaround is usually fairly prompt, though I don't know exact ETAs, as that is done by a different group of people.  Please let us know if you don't hear back this week.

Now its 3/9/15 Still no tracking or info of when its going to be shipped, but being told over and over tomorrow.  Also no response to last email. Not happy at all!
