GTA V 1st Person Mouse Sensitivity
« on: 11:32 PM - 01/22/15 »
So everything works fine with the XIM4 and GTA V PS4 except the First Person.  It moves and locks in place.  Almost like it's auto assist but it's set to free aim.  It doesn't do this with 3rd Person.  And when you're first person in the car, it's fine.  It's just on foot.  Can anyone else confirm this or if you don't have a problem, could you give me your mouse settings? Thanks.

I can't say why it's locking when in free aim but you should be using assisted - free aim. This is what the ST expects. The look mechanic is different between free aim and assisted aim. Assisted - free aim was supported over free aim because the look mechanic was quite poor. Use the following settings

Assisted - Free Aim
Deadzone: Default (100%)
Acceleration: Default (50%)
Third Person Sensitivity: 100%
First Person Sensitivity: 100%
First Person FoV: 100%

Also note that there are two STs for this game, one that supports first person and one that supports third person. Be sure to use the correct ST for the perspective you are playing on.

So I didn't notice the First Person ST for GTA V and when I went into the XIM app on my phone, the app crashed when it gave me the warning about setting the game to widescreen maximum.  Now I can't get the XIM to work at all.  Is there something I can do?  The light on the XIM is white.  The XIM app can not connect at all the to XIM.  I've tried resetting the app and the PS4.

If the light is white I would think that you need to factory restore. Instructions are in the manual linked in my signature. You should post in the support section though to be sure what your next step is.

Is there a way to reset and keep all my settings?

No, if you need to need to factory restore it will wipe your device. If you've tried the usual routine of resetting your XIM4 and it still starts up to a white light then I would post in support.
