Destiny question
« on: 10:32 AM - 01/20/15 »
Hey everyone,

I have been playing Destiny for about 3 weeks now and I can't seem to figure out how to set up buttons for the Super. It probably is something really dumb and simple, but me being a noob, I can't figure it out. I apologize if this has been addressed already. Thanks for any input.

You have to press R1 and L1 at the same time. I don't think you can bind it to a single button.

So I have R1 bound to "e" and L1 bound to "q" so to do super I just hit Q&E at the same time

Ahh that makes sense, I will give that a shot. Much appreciated.

I believe you can bind the same key to R1 and L1.  To do this you need to switch to the secondary button bind.  That's how I do it.  I have the super on a mouse button.  I can't remember off hand, but the primary button bind is yellow. If you look at the top when it say primary, you see and arrow to go right.  Click that and I believe you have a secondary bind page.  this is where you'd bind both R1 and L1 to a single button or key.  Sorry I can't give anymore info because I'm not in front of XIM4.  If someone else can add info, please do.

You need to use a secondary button lay out. Have the activation set to HOLD. Have both LB and RB set to the same button as the activation key. You now have a one button super.

I also did this for the power weapon switch. I always used mouse wheel up to switch weapons. Didn't work when I needed to hold it. So I set a third button layout. Again, setting the activation button and Y to the same key. So switching to the Power weapons and switching between the other two weapons is done with different keys.
