No I have the same router with tomato on it and netduma replaced it easily.

so you replaced your ASUS RT-AC68U with this new one? no @#$%!

I just remember reading a post from ABC123 that stated there was simmilar features in the 3rd party software... is that not so?
^^ herman Cain said it, so it must be true!

3rd Party Firmwares
* Tomato
* DD-WRT
* OpenWRT

Those are in order of features from least to most, the only thing tomato has going for it is QoS (theirs is better than DD-WRT).

OpenWRT is by far the best 3rd party firmware for normal network usage.

Incomes Netduma's firmware, built on top of OpenWRT...with the following features added:
- Geo-Filter: Limits the range that the host can be from you.
- Congestion Control (QoS): this is better than QoS and awesome for gaming sessions.

There are also some algorithms for the way this router handles packet routing that make it superior if you have a connection below 50Mb/s...

No, not the Geo Filter or the duma QoS.

Ok, I ordered mine yesterday.  Already got my shipping info.  Looking forward to putting it through the paces and seeing if it was worth it ;)

The game does not play better in my opinion with netduma, thats also what they tell me over at Netduma. Dunno if itís the dedicated servers that connect Hojashimiri Kawasaki to EU servers with a 3 second ping and spoil the game.
I play AW on PS4 and ghosts on ONE. Ghosts plays fine.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA mothatrukin Hojashimiri!!!  I've played AW on both consoles stateside (northern california) and it's been much more stable now than initially.  From my area X1 version plays smoother than PS4 before/after the Duma.

But I do understand as when a player comes from mexico or way up from Canada it does throw the lobby for a loop regardless of host/dedi-server.

it's their firmware, you can't install it without their permission (IE they are using a special flash method on the hardware, after that it can be upgraded easily...but if i were to flash their router to OpenWRT i'd never get Netduma back onto it)

oh, wow...  although the idea of the geo filter is superb... having a 200 piece of hardware that is locked is not cool.. but then again perhaps one day someone will jailbreak it?
