[RESOLVED] XIM4 stops working since last week

Hello,

I am very worried because something weird seems to happen to my XIM4. It has been working nicely for several months, during that time I´ve not changed my keyboard, mouse, mic or whatsoever. It has stopped working as usual and, after a couple of hours more or less, the character starts turning or shooting or running on his own. I´ve also noticed that all dual shock lights start to flash at the same time and I need to unplug the XIM4 USB cable to make it work again. Mouse and keyboard seem to be shut down but the XIM keeps flashing in the same fashion.

Because of this, I have recently updated both firmware and manager versions to 20141114, but nothing has changed. Rumble function is off and the controller battery is fully charged.

It displays the normal red breathing light. As I said before, this happens after few hours of playing and then it becomes imposible to play any more since it happens very frequently.

Which console? If PS4, if you press the PS button after it happens, does the light turn on your DS4?

Sorry, I did not mention it. It is PS3. I just have changed the controller USB cable and replace the controller but it did not work.

Edit. I am thinking of doing a hard reset because I just do not know what else to do.

It seems that when that happens my DS stops working completely.

So when you press the PS button your DS3 doesn't do anything? It doesn't connect to your console wirelessly?

Thats it, PS button doesnt respond unless I unplug the USB Xim cable and plug it in again.

I have been very busy this last week and I did not have enough time to test it yet. However, I believe I already know the reason why my XIM4 stops working. I found it on this post.

This is exactly what happened to me as well, so I decided to check my mouse and I found that the usb cable is damaged and every now and then the mouse gets disconnected. When this happens my character freezes and keeps doing the same action over and over again. So, basically, its a mouse problem and this case may be closed. Thanks a lot for all the support.

Thanks for the update.  Just for my own info going forward, was it a Logitech mouse, by any chance?

Nope, its a Talius gaming mouse.
